I would NOT recommend Gary Krause Landscaping & Design to anyone. He low bid the job, his contract was full of "legalese" and inaccurate and incomplete on the job and scope discussed and agreed to. He flooded me with numerous change orders to rectify his errors and omissions, looking to double bill for his mistakes. He consistently missed all key deadlines. He was selected over the other competitive quote because he was $3K less expensive and promised work completed by Labor Day on a job budgeted at $20-$23K. I had to hire another contractor to do the fire pit installation correctly, the front lawn sprinkler system still has not been started. He gave an estimate on a river access trail/gravel circle at $2900-3,200. was paid $3K, indicated he ran over, was paid an additional $3K...almost twice the original estimate AND is now seeking over $6K additional. Most concerning is the fact that copies of the original documents and contracts he has recently sent to me have been altered. Dates are inaccurate, service hours inaccurate, dates reflected are inconsistent with the original contract execution.My opinion, ethics and integrity are the foundation on which everything else is built. I would NOT USE GARY KRAUSE LANDSCAPING & DESIGN.
