Run!!

Neighbors are loud, there's always vomit in the parking lot, and people let their dogs take a dump right in the hallways. EVERYBODY I talk to also has a mold problem, but management can't be bothered to take care of it. Can't hardly sleep at night either, since all the neighbors are loud alcoholics. I'd give it less than one star if I could. For $1600 a month, I'd rather live at any one of the other apartment complexes in the area.

RUN, don't walk, away from this complex!!

First let me explain, I am one...

First let me explain, I am one of the ORIGINAL tenants of this complex. I moved here when the apartments were first built and I was hooked by the concession deal (discounted rent) to move in. I did the 2 year lease to lock me in the price and had every intent to stay if the renewal rate would have been reasonable. The renewal rent for a 2 bedroom would've raised my monthly payment by $67, which isn't bad. However, since the last management has taken over, the service from the staff has been nothing more than incompetent, unreliable, and a total headache.

When I applied to move here, the application process was stringent, which was okay for me because it let me know the type of people they allow to live here. Since then, the rules have gotten relaxed, and the quality of tenants has gone downhill.

The management is NEVER available when you need her and the staff is always in a meeting or away from the office, so you're never able to go in and see anybody. They are quick to fill your email box with a bunch of junk email though about frivolous events going on in the community that is geared for you to spend money or get hooked into some sort of pyramid business. NO educational or useful events or community social gatherings.

The online portal to pay your rent charges you anywhere between $38-41 to use, so there's no convenience. You'd do better just paying the $100 late fee if you can't catch them in the office to pay your rent on time. They'll still charge you if you're late, even if it's their fault because of lack of availability or ability to pay via a drop box.

Don't park your car in the garage, you'll get hit, and if you tell management, the response is "your vehicle is personal property and we do not hold responsibility." Try explaining that to your insurance company to get a claim.

Finally, the courtesy officer is a joke. He picks favorites and does not enforce any of the speeding rules or noise ordinances. He is never visible, but the tenants pay his rent.

If you move here, you're doing it solely for the aesthetics. It's a beautiful property yes, but it's overpriced. I even had a maintenance staff member tell me the apartments were cheaply made. They've already made building cosmetic fixes and the property opened in May 2009! Atlantic Crossing is $200-$400 cheaper and is much more customer service friendly. Do yourself a favor and look at the other properties in the area before committing to this one.
