Joining the staff of Hughston Trauma in Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Tabrizi is a dual (American & Canadian) board certified Orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Traumatology, Fracture Care and Adult Reconstruction. Dr. Tabrizi earned his Medical Degree from the University of Ottawa, and went on to complete his Orthopaedic residency in the Division of Orthopaedics at the same institution. He continued his training through an Arthroplasty and Orthopaedic Oncology fellowship at Ottawa General Hospital with Dr. Guy Moreau. Dr. Tabrizi completed an additional fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, training under the direction of Dr. Tony Pohl, in Trauma and pelvic fractures in Australia. During the past 15 years, Dr. Tabrizi has treated patients at a Level 1 Trauma Center in San Jose, California (Santa Clara Valley Medical Center), while serving as Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at Stanford University - being recognized as Resident Educator of the year in 2004. Dr. Tabrizi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He is a member of the AAOS, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, AO North America, and both the Eastern & Western Orthopaedic Association (WOA). He has published in major orthopaedic and trauma medical journals and is an examiner for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has presented trauma-related scientific research and fracture care at international meetings and symposiums and presented resident and medical student lectures on a wide variety of topics. He has served on the Board of Directors for the WOA as well as being the Program Chairman for the Annual Meeting in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho in 2015.
