My child reads because of Dr. Sisbarro. He correctly diagnosed my son's dyslexia and ADHD andgave me a clear and understandable explanation of both conditions. He analyzed my son's test results, and listed the interventions my son needed. He is a thorough, gifted, and experienced diagnostician. He is very compassionate and is great with children and teens. He doesn't mince words. He will tell you the truth. He will also advocate for your child's educational needs. If you ask, he will attend IEP meetings with you, will attend school conferences with teachers and principals. He's been practicing for almost 30 years and knows what he's doing. One downside: Because he is in demand with parents, he does not need to (and does not) accept insurance. That's becoming more and more common, however, amongprivate practice school psychologists, and I couldn't imagine any better investment in my son's future than making sure he could learn to read.
