VPK program is a joke. My son's teacher was 15-30 minutes late at least 3-4 days a week - at least! Ridiculous for a 3 hour program. Same teacher tried to tell me she "couldn't accept my son" the one day we were late (12 minutes) because I had a broken foot and ran late!



Academically, the work was far too advanced and not in the curriculum. For example, when the teacher said my son was struggling with FRACTIONS and adding them. His homework included adding fractions. I checked with the board of education, and surprise! NOT IN THE CURRICULUM FOR VPK.



Morning daycare before VPK was ridiculous, one teacher for 25+ 4-year-olds, I had to stop taking my son because he was getting hurt and the teacher had so much going on she never saw what happened.



I yanked my son out and transferred him to a different school. Best decision I ever made.
