DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY, YOU WILL REGRET IT.Overall I was extremely disappointed with Robert Lanier's service, lack of professionalism, personal conduct, integrity and overall job execution.
-The job now went from $300 to $900.
-towards the end of the job Mr. Lanier said casually in passing that the job was going to cost more than originally planned. I asked what he meant and he now increased the price by $250. I reminded him that he bid the job for a total of $600. He told me he had to buy a nail gun and compressor so the bill was going to be higher. We argued this issue and I finally settled on paying him $50 more than originally planned, which I never should have agreed to.
I found it very unprofessional that he felt the need to URINATE off my back porch in front of my wife. It is also completely unacceptable that he started drinking beer openly/obviously 3 hours before he finished working for the day.

Robert has completed several jobs for my home and has always been prompt, honest, and fair in his pricing. I have asked him questions while doing various jobs (electrical, laying floors etc) and have always been amazed at his knowledge.

Mr. Lanier was prompt, professional & honest. I will definitely hire him again. As I am planning my next project soon.

Horrible. He broke 2 light fixtures trying to install and did a poor job. Most of what he fixed broke very quickly. He was trying to make money as soon as possible. No pride in work or ownership of quality in his work. I would not use again.

Mrs. Cherry was a customer that you could never make happy whatever you did for her. She never fired me or ask me to leave. I told her a quite and keep what she owes me to hire someone to make a murial on her wall and left. I went above and beyound what she was paying me to do. Best regards to her. Robert Lanier Sr.

Just had Robert over this morning to install bathroom exhaust fans in two bathrooms. We set up the appointment yesterday and he was over today. Unlike previous experiences with similar small trade businesses, Robert was extremely punctual and motivated to get the jobs done. Time and price quoted over the phone were met. Would definitely recommend him (in fact he got a same day referral and completed that job after mine). Will continue to use his skills in the future when I have jobs that need done and will definitely recommend him! Thanks Robert!

Was hired to do a 3 day job which included closing in the opening to the formal living room, installing french doors, trim work, prime, and paint. Also to paint the stairwell and foyer. The three day job turned into 8 days and still not finished. It looks like amateur work with so many flaws that I am embarrassed to have it in my home. On day 8 he assured me he would do the work himself and it would be done in 6 hours. After 8 hours, his workers left for the day, Mr. Lanier never showed to do the work, and the walls looked worse than they did that morning with none of the other issued resolved. Called and fired Mr. Lanier who threatened to take me to court and file a lien on my house. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else. He's not qualified to change toilet paper!
