River City Dental goes by a different set of standards than your Insurance Company and they do not advise you of this. I have been insulted by the billing representative and the Dentist does not really do anything about it. I was provided services that were not medically necessary and I was not advised that the Dentist s standards may be higher than the insurance company s. Had I been advised of this I would have requested the procedure to be pre authorized. I am now trying to assist the Dentist office by providing them the information to appeal the decision. If this does not work, I will begin the formal complaint process. I have changed Dentist s because of this problem. This office has been thru 3 different billing representatives since I was a new patient.
