I am a big fan of the work done by the Preddy Law firm. I have been involved in the formation of five different trusts made by the firm. The firm has overseen the management and distribution of two estates, with one more to go in the future.
Our family has found RM to be very professional and business like. Get on the job and get it done. However, she has also left the office and been to estate events as required by the families in their time of need.
My entire family recommends the Preddy Law firm for trust and estate work.

BE VERY WARY OF THIS LAWYER.

My husband and I met with her to see about the pros and cons of a will vs a trust and to gain some general familiarity with estate planning.

Instead of asking us what we wanted and how she could help, she seemed intent on her own agenda, taking out her legal pad and asking all kinds of very personal and private questions.

*I understand that all this information would be required when we were ready to make a decision about what avenue we wanted to go down, but we were only there for a very general consult and an introduction to see what the process would be like and the approximate costs of our choices; Estate Planning 101 basically. We weren’t ready for anything beyond that, nor were we told we would be required to submit information of that sort at this consultation.

When we were not able to give her all the information she wanted and when I told her that really, we were there just for a general Q & A, she became hostile, defensive and extremely agitated.

The frosty atmosphere in her office was palpable. She showed no sympathy or interest in us, but I felt her only intent and interest was on ‘her’ processes and ‘running the show her way’.

She wanted to put the blame on us for not understanding the process and even said that ‘you must have me confused with someone else’.

In the end, we hurriedly left. I couldn’t get out of her office fast enough. I felt violated.

BE VERY WARY!!!

Be very WARY! Perhaps it was some sort of mis-communication, but when my husband and I went to see this woman for a 'free consult', it was a complete debacle. I was under the assumption that it would be a general 'meet and greet' and for a very general Q & A. Instead, she wanted very specific information that we were just not able to provide at that time. When I hesitated, she started to get very frosty and you could feel that she was not interested in working with us or even trying to get to know why we had come in. I recognize that people like to run their business their way, however, alerting potential clients as to what to expect at a consultation would only seem a logical way of handling ANY business, especially when dealing with such sensitive subjects. I thought her behaviour exceptionally unprofessional. Eventually, I found out all I needed to know on the internet and our will is now completed. Be WARY.
