bad experience

I want to start off by saying we have been coming in here quite a bit over the last month or two and have really enjoyed it. There's always been good food, good service and we have enjoyed talking to Kim. As a matter of fact we were telling everyone we knew about the place and encouraging them to go try it.

We went there yesterday for lunch and as we were leaving Kim told us she was making Charleston stew and it would be ready today. Well it sounded wonderful so my husband told the guys he works with about it and we all came back up here for lunch today. The waitress that took our order didn't seem to know anything about the stew and didn't want to be bothered to go find out about either. Then since I wasn't very hungry I wanted to order off the child menu, I was told I couldn't. it's only for kids 12 and under. Well it doesn't state that on the menu and I really don't see what it matters. I didn't want 5-6 chicken fingers and alot of fries, I only wanted 2-3 fingers and a few fries. All she said was that she didn't make the rules. When I asked to see the manager, Louis came out and was absolutely no help. As a matter of fact he basically laughed when I asked why I couldn't order off the childs menu. I also pointed out that instead of a small order he got no order and I just had water. As far as the stew goes, they didn't want to serve it until the soup or stew that they already had was gone. He said he didn't know Kim was telling people about the stew already. In the mean time two customers left after not being waited on in a timely manner and all the waitress did was ask when they got there. Now I have worked in restaurants and I would have offered a discount or something to keep the business. That didn't happen. The next problem came when after waiting for about 40 minutes our food still wasn't out and after asking about it the waitress just looked at us and said it's coming out. Well a few more minutes and still no food so we all just ended up leaving because we had to get back to work. It was a very disappointing experience and the worse part was that they did not seem to care. Needless to say we won't be going back and we won't encourage people to go either .

two H's - horrible and high priced

Been there and the food was really bad and the price was too high. I had a bad feeling when I walked in at noon, when most places are packed, and there were only two other customers there. Sure wish I had turned around and walked out. Would be better if you just find a greasy hot dog vendor on the street. The waitress was nice.
