Progressive called at 7:45p.m. for me truck came at 11:19 p.m.

VERY VERY PISSED. I really think you should not even get any stars for the horrible service I received. Metro Towing was the worst service I have every had. My car broke down around 2:20 today and I called my insurance company to get a tow. 3 hours later after Jax Express Towing came to tow me Someone called me from Metro Towing said that they were on their way. Seriously I have waited for little over 3 hours you are now just calling me to tell me you were on your way. I was only 11 minutes away from my house. It would have been nice to get a phone call to give me an update that they are behind. It called common courtesy to telling your customer what your ETA is. There is no reason I should have waited little over 3 hours for a tow. I will NEVER NEVER use you guys again. I will also let everyone I know as well as anyone I come in contact with to NEVER use Metro Towing.

My insurance company contracted Metro towing to tow my vehicle after I broke down yesterday. The original estimate for pickup was 55 minutes. If that had been close to accurate it wouldn't have been so bad. After an hour and a half I called Metro towing to check on the status of my call. The dispatcher said the driver ran into traffic and it would be another 40 minutes. An hour later I called again and was given an estimate of a half hour. An hour later I contacted my insurance company and they started calling the dispatcher also. We were both told the driver was just a short distance away and it would be another five minutes. 10 minutes later when the driver still hadn't shown up. Approximately 4 hours after the initial call, and 3 hours after the initial arrival estimate the tow truck finally showed up. He was courteous, apologetic and set about doing his job as quickly as he could. At no time did the dispatcher apologize or even sound sympathetic. I can understand being busy but I should have been given a realistic pickup estimate. I discussed my issues with my insurance company and they told me they will be reviewing this failed service call and their contract with Metro Towing. I hope to never need towing again but if I do I will not use Metro Towing under any circumstances.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had! My insurance company called Metro Towing for me at 1:30 pm. I was told it was going to be an hour. An hour later, they told my insurance company that due to an accident and weather, it was going to be another hour. So I waited another hour and called Metro Towing directly. The woman that answered the phone was extremely rude and told me it would be "at least" another hour because my service provider broke his foot. So I asked since I was waiting for two hours if I could be moved up the list and she told me that's not the way it works. I told her it was ridiculous and she said, "That's life."

Needless to say, I called my insurance company back and told them to cancel the service and get a new one. The second service, Auto Store Towing, was fantastic. They showed up within the hour of the call (5:00 pm) and got my car to the service shop by 5:30 pm.

As I was on my way to pick up my car at 6:30, I finally received a call from Metro Towing that they would be at my house in 10 minutes. Thank you FIVE HOURS LATER...

Whatever you do, do NOT use Metro Towing.

This company doesn’t even deserve the one star I have to give them! I’ve been waiting for almost 3 hours for them to come tow my truck. My insurance provider selected them and I got an email saying that they would be here within 45 minutes. After an hour I called and the person in the phone said the truck would call us. No call. An hour later, I called back and the guy on the phone said the same thing. Again no call. Another 1/2 hour later I called my insurance company; *they* called and were told the truck was finishing up another job and would be here in another 45 minutes. And they couldn’t tell us that the two times WE called? Completely unacceptable.

Not pleased at all. My roadside assistance (USAA) dispatched them. I called them, at the request of the cops, to see how long it would be. The dispatcher, in an extreamly rude tone, said they would get there whenever they could and hung up on me. After waiting 30 minutes past their ETA they gave USAA, I called again and they kept picking up the phone and hanging it up. I had a different company dispatched. Metro deffinatly was unable to serve in time of need. Sad. They don't deserve the star I had to give to write this.

Ronnie just got my car put in the exact spot in this condominium complex. Prompt, came immediately. I am home clear on a longer tow and it is five minutes before my eta for them to even get to my wifes stranded car. I was so nervous after I saw the reviews and told the state farm agent as such. I was wrong. This was the best roadside I have ever had. Professional, great job, amazing. Its been a good night that everyone else here had a bad experience Im glad mine was spectacular. Metro Towing has a good guy.

I agree with the rest of the reviews. HORRIBLE customer service. Like others, I was referred by my insurance company and they were told 30-45 minutes by this company. Keep in mind that I was in downtown Jacksonville and it was getting dark at this point. I called and was told that he didn't have a record of my car and once I said, my insurance company called you, he started back stepping then told me at least another 30-40 minutes. I waited another hour and called again. Someone finally showed up after 9:00 and my insurance company called them well before 6. I will NEVER use this company again. The only good thing was that we didn't have to pay anything out of pocket. With all of the BAD reviews, I am surprised that insurance companies still use them. Stay away from this company if you can!!! But if you have hours to waste waiting, this is the company to call!!

Hood Rats, car thieves, paid to tow a car 4 mile down the road in clay county the driver takes off and tows the car into duval county want to charge storage and overnight fees for a 20 min job wish there was a 0 rating

Worst service ever! Slow to respond and rude drivers. Avoid using this service at all costs!! I told my insurance carrier to not use them whenever I need a tow. Both times they were used the were hours late and rude.

If I could rate them zero, I would. They don't even deserve a 1. We were waiting for a tow for 2 hours. They were supposed to be at my house at 9:30 and showed up at 11:30. They damaged the car when putting on the flatbed. The driver was very rude and put his face in our face and wouldn't get off our property when we asked him nicely. The driver was saying that car was damaged previously and it wasn't. The main concern I had was the driver was very scary and was looking for a fight with us. His facial gestures was like he wanted to attack us. DON'T USE THEM.

This was the WORST experience we ever had with a company! I waited 5 hours for a tow in a parking lot at my college. I was alone and when the tower finally arrived he seemed unsure as to how to tow my vehicle which is a small economy car. When I had called the dispatch to see what was taking so long...The woman was very impatient and uncaring. I would say she was outright hostile to me! I am very upset over this and would not only never recommend them but I would make a point to tell people not to use them!!!!

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Actually negative stars. They took over FOUR AND A HALF HOURS to pick me up, and when I called twice to check on what was happening the customer service representatives were incredibly rude in what was already a very difficult situation. I would not reccomend them to anyone, ever. DO NOT USE THEM, unless you like waiting for hours with no updates and terrible staff.

Called USAA for roadside assistance. Had to wait over 1.5 hours just to get my insurance company to tell me that they would be another 20 minutes late....after contacting the company directly twice and through my insurance company twice. This towing company should not exist. Do not use them!

I have state Farm Road assistance/ had till yesterday, and this garbage pale of a company never showed up. The literally made me wait 4hrs, before I just said forget it I'll pay out of pocket. " No recommendations for this place" or Roadside assistance, get AAA and go with Pinks towing at least they want their money.

Worst towing service in Jacksonville. Their rates must be cheap because the service is horrible. If you can afford it just call someone else. The only reason I used them is because my dealership paid the bill. I waited over 2 and half hours after being told my ETA and compared to other complains I was lucky. I would say the best time to get towed by them would be after midnight so they can't give you any excuses but I may still be wrong. Good luck

2hrs 15mins later, still haven't arrived. It's 11pm on a Wednesday and after being told it was an hour wait, and at 45mins that the truck was on its way - we got fed up. I called insurance who said 20mins, that came and went, called the towing company who said another 30mins and then hung up on me after I said can I actually believe that? Now insurance has dispatched someone else as they called and again it was a 20min wait
