I HIRED LARRY TO REPLCE MY FRONT LAWN IN DEERWOOD BECAUSE IT WAS COVERED WITH DOLLARWEED AND PATTERNS OF BROWN FUNGUS. IN LESS THAN 3 WEEKS AFTER HE HAD TREATED THE OLD LAWN AND REPLACED IT WITH NEW SOD I HAD RAPID DOLLARWEED AND FUNGUS IN THE VERY SAME PATTERN AS BEFORE. I CALLED LARRY REPEATEDLY AND HE FINALLY RETURNED MY CALLS. HE REFUSES TO DO ANY CORREACTIVE WORK AND SAYS I NEED TO RETURN TO MY LAWN MAINTAINACE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN MY LAWN IN GOOD CONDITION SINCE LARRY'S WORK. IN FACT, IT IS NOW IN THE SAME DEPLORABLE CONDITION IT WAS BEFORE I HIRED LARRY'S GARDEN. BEWARE!!!

Larry solved my backyard drainage problem and I couldn't be happier with the results. No one else could come up with a solution, but Larry inspected my yard and came up with a plan I could afford, including a beautiful brick patio. Now I can sit outside and enjoy my yard, and I don't worry about it flooding every time it rains! Also, I can't say enough good things about his workers. They show up on time, work hard all day, and clean up before they leave. They are polite and helpful. They have said to me many times "we will do whatever you want, you are the customer." I would definitely hire them again.

A couple of years ago, I hired this guy for a complete relandscaping of my front yard. Total cost in excess of $20,000. Worst decision I could have made. Besides cutting my cable line, water line and causing a flood in my bathroom, I subsequently discovered that his crew used the wrong glue on my irrigation pipes, and they began coming apart shortly after he completed the job. I have been paying for the incompetence ever since. He installed plants which were not adapted to this cold-hardy zone, and they have all died. Don't hire this guy. Instead, flush your money down the toilet. You'll get better results!

Made appointment for him to come out for an estimate. Didn't show nor call. When we called about the missed appointment she said "Oh, did I tell you about the $175 consultation fee?" No, no one mentioned that before so I guess it is a good thing he didn't show up.

I agree 100% with the other reviewer. I had a similar experience with Larry and Larry's Garden. I hired them to level our front yard, put in new sod & redo a brick walkway. The walkway did turn out quite nice but I had to stand outside and micro-manage the construction because I noticed they weren't doing it the way we had originally discussed. I hate micro-managing and paid to have a professional do this stuff so I wouldn't have to do it.

Also, the yard re-settled and became lopsided again within about a month and his instructions on caring for the sod that he installed weren't complete. The sod became infested with fungus within a few months and when I called and asked for his advice regarding how to handle it, he told me that what I initially did to care for the sod probably caused the fungus (despite the fact that I followed his recommendations). Whenever I contacted him I got the impression that he didn't really care about our house because it was a small project to him relative to other stuff he does. Please don't make the same mistake I did in hiring him!

Radio show makes it sound like they welcome all landscape jobs. Customers with small jobs beware. They will do the job, but if the plant/grass starts dying then there is a charge to come back; when you agree to pay the charge and they give you a day/time, they don't show up/don't even call.

They don't seem to care about small jobs for small homes. They install the sod, then tell you there is a service charge to come back to when it starts dying; then they don't show up.
