Wow these parents must have been mad or they themselves must have had a bad attitude!
These reviews are so OLD 5-6 years old!
Let me write you a new one!
Lets start in the office:
The office staff must have changed! They are very nice and helpful with whatever situation you have, if they don't know they will find out and get back to you quickly. The director has helped us with great advise. She does run "tight ship" but if you don't then you wouldn't have the BEST around nor the BEST teachers!
Fundraisers:
All schools/ daycares and learning centers need to have fundraisers! If places don't have them how do you think they are going to get new things and updated curriculum to use for the children to learn? Everyone needs and should have fundraisers, if no fundraisers then rates would have to go up! You are NOT required to do fundraisers!
Teachers and staff:
Teachers and staff are great with the kids. Are very professional and have training to better themselves to have a great learning environment.

Teachers were ok but constantly complaining about how they were treated by Mrs. Beverly the manager. they will kick your child out for the smallest reasons and use poor excuses to justify. constantly picked my child up with bruises and even a bloody nose staff always claim it was like that when they arrived> she has high prices and always asking for more money and "Fund raisers" they are strictly about money and will lie to your face No problem. Are biased against who they do and do not want in their center. works out deals with selected parents.

My child has been in the infant/toddler care class for a year and a half now and I can say I have never had a bad experience. The office staff is wonderful and understanding and friendly. I go into the office at least once a week; I have to assume the people that are being discussed in these reviews have been replaced since then. My child and myself have been treated with kindness and respect. The teachers are wonderful! She's had several teachers and all of them have taken a direct interest in her development and have celebrated all of her successes. The fundraising is all in the interest of improving the experience for the children; with new curriculum, new equipment, etc. I shopped around for a center for almost an entire year before deciding on this one and it was not a decision I took lightly. I highly recommend that you go in and take a tour and decide for yourself; but for us it's been a wonderful experience.

I completely agree with the negative comments. The office staff is very rude. The director is cold & uncaring for the children. My children were kicked out on a Thursday due to problems with ELC (which ELC was trying to work out), but the director advised ELC & myself she had no intention of working it out. Since then I've learned it's not uncommon for issues to arise with ELC, but the daycares I've interviewed and my current daycare are more than willing to work with ELC for the sake of the children. It takes our little ones time to adjust to a daycare, much less have to suddenly be introduced to a new daycare. In our case my children had to first stay with a friend for a month, then the first daycare didn't work out, they cried everyday. Now we have to move yet again because our daycare (which they love) is so new, they have to wait a year to get golden stars from ELC. I always did love the teachers at JFK's, but the office staff makes it impossible to consider this daycare. I called the office in a weak moment thinking since all is well with ELC, maybe we could make nice. I had consulted the owner when my children were 1st kicked out, he was fine with working it out, but the director had told her hands were tied as the owner insisted on kicking them out, which I knew was a lie, at that time I decided not to confront the director, but during my weak moment thought I would. After calling JFK's, I was treated with the same rudeness and bad attitude, then I reviewed these comments and thought, "What were you thinking"? No way are my children go back to that daycare not even if they called me begging!!!
