Hands down this is the best law firm that I've used. Ms. Mathis and Mr. Carpenter was very helpful throughout the entire case. I mainly was assisted by Ms. Mathis and she was great. Any time I had a question or concern she gave me a clear explanation. Response times were phenomenal. I've never had to sit and wonder if they received my email message or phone call. I was self-employed for a number of years and missed some quarterly tax payments and over the course of 3 years ended up owing over $90k. I didn't pay much attention to it until I received the first notice from the IRS. I spent over an hour on the phone with the IRS only to be hung-up when connected. I tried again and was on hold for over 90 minutes when I gave up. Then a revenue agent contacted me and was trying to force me to share my part in a business to pay off the tax debt. I didn't know where to turn until a friend referred me to J David. I felt relief afte my first conversation and they ended up getting over $21k of the debt wiped out and I can afford the agreement they negotiated. I found out later that the IRS couldn't force me to sell my share in my business but they certainly were framing it that way. For anyone with a big tax debt I would recommend this firm.

Brad, Tom, and the staff are awesome! We had a recent transaction where IRS liens had to be discharged in order for a home to sell. We'd spent a lot of money and hours of time trying to find the right entity to help us. Everyone at J. My tax nightmare started over 18 years ago. Initially I signed on with a firm in Ventura CA. While they helped with the first years that I had to clear up with the IRS, they made some mistakes and that relationship ended. But, the IRS kept coming after me because of my now ex-husbands "creative" or non existent tax filings. I started looking for a new attorney and was not finding anyone who could help me so I went on line and did a lot of research. That is how I came to work with J. David Tax Law. Their strong commitment to customer relations, professionalism and timely communication reinforced that I had made the right choice. But even more important than that, they were able to resolve my issue with the IRS and brought about an end to my case. My 18 year ordeal has now ended... some days I do not believe it. During the conversation with my attorney wherein she assured me that the final paper work would be coming to me that would confirm this resolution, she graciously told me that if needed to hear this news again at any time in the future she was only a phone call away. I received that document from the IRS today! I recommend J. David Tax Law to anyone, without reservation, who needs an advocate in their dealings with the IRS.

After investing the necessary time to investigate companies and law firms who could assist with an IRS issue spanning several years, I made the decision to hire this firm. From my original communication interviewing the organization, all the way through the resolution of my issue, J David Tax Law has proved to be a solid business decision for me. If you have an IRS issue I would highly recommend this firm. They were upfront with me in my initial call and did what they said they could. They did not just tell me what I wanted to hear and I appreciated that.

We've used this firm twice. In the first situation J David Tax was thorough and practical in helping us sort through several years of records to confirm back taxes owed, set up a much lower than expected payment plan with the IRS and was even able to get penalties reduced. They are very knowledgeable of IRS processes/policies and easy to work with so we didn’t hesitate to reach out to them again for advice when the unexpected sale of our business unbalanced our tax situation yet again. This firm was able to very successfully manage the re-negotiation of our installment agreement and guided us through some strategies that made a tremendous impact on our tax balance. I went another direction in the beginning for help but a true tax law firm was the only way to go for us and this one was wonderful.

I received an audit notice from the IRS saying they're auditing my business for 3 years 2014-2016. I'm a water installer and I travel a lot so my business expenses were quite high. The amount I would have ended up owing would have been at least over $100,000. J David Tax was an invaluable help in resolving all my tax issues with New York and the IRS. Due to extreme procrastination I needed to file four years worth of state and federal taxes and was looking at substantial interest and penalties. This firm was very thorough and reviewed the situation with me, explained all the options, took all my records and communications, clearly and thoughtfully answered all my questions, filed all overdue paperwork, communicated with both agencies on my behalf. I never had to talk to anyone other than my tax attorney, and he followed up with me at every step. They were very upfront about what they thought would happen, and it worked out exactly like they said. There was little to no guesswork. I am so happy to have found them and although I hope I never find myself in this situation again, J Davd Tax is the first call I would make with any tax problem.

I found J David Tax to be very knowledgeable. I came to them in a state of panic regarding my tax liens and multiple years of unfiled returns. I was worried I would end up losing my personal assets. Their solution was logical and reasonable. First my attorney got us some time with the IRS to figure out a plan. Some of the tax resolution companies I reached out to wanted $6500 to submit an offer in compromise. Bryan explained to me that my income was too high for an offer in compromise and why I would not qualify. After getting my back taxes filed, my attorney negotiated a low installment agreement that I was easily able to afford, and was able to got penalties removed. My tax debt will expire in 16 months so I'll be home free. I finally have the IRS off my back. I highly recommend J David Tax Law to anyone that is dealing with IRS issues. Do not wait years and all the grief that came with it like I did.

Trying to find a tax attorney that we could trust and feel comfortable with was hard. My husband and I interviewed with several attorneys and all had hidden fees and unrealistic promises. We felt like we were being sold on something but what we wanted was realistic representation. They explained each step of how the case would be handled. When we decided to go with this firm their contract had all the fees they would charge and when they would be charged. It was a flat fee for everything and not an hourly charge. We never felt pressured. Everything they said they were going to do, they did. Today we received our finalized agreement from the IRS. We are extremely grateful.
