Do not take your child here!!

My child attended this school for close to a year and I would not recommend it to anyone! The first 8 or 9 months were ok, the food was disgusting! I picked my child up during lunch time and found them eating bologna sandwiches and chips. Let me rephrase, a half a sandwich and chips. My child came home with bite marks every other day, but the owners would do nothing about it. I left several messages for the owners to call back, but no return call.. The last straw was when I dropped my child off and all the teachers, the director, and assistant director were all gone. 6 people gone in one month. I was given 3 different stories as to why, but I did get the truth when I ran into a former employee and it was way different from the lie I was given by the owner. Please read all reviews before enrolling your child at this place and if it looks strange that there's one bad review and the next day there is 10 good ones with a few hours, there's a reason! They were all submitted by the owners!!

Intercoastal Kids is a phenomenal preschool. Our son is in the 3yr old class, and he is happy to go to school every day. He is very well socialized, and his learning is coming along nicely. The teachers over the years were great, like any other preschool in Jacksonville they have had some teacher turn over, but trust me that's all of the childcare centers in the area. I Love Intercoastal.

This school has exceeded my expectations for what we wanted for our son. I was a little nervous since my son stayed at home with me for 2 years. Let's face it, the area does not have many choices for private childcare, just a lot of corporate day cares and that’s not what we wanted for our son. The school is orderly and very safe and I'm amazed at all the great things our son learns on a daily basis. The things he's learning in VPK with Mrs. Eliza blows my mind - stuff I didn't learn until first grade when I was growing up. The projects she does with the kids are amazing. The parents all care and all want the best for the kids. I feel there's a real community here and it's nice to see parents actively involved in their kid’s education. The owner doesn't put up with any disorderly conduct and I wish parents would stop trying to second guess her decisions. She knows what's she's doing so let her do her job. She does it so well and all the kids benefit.

The best kept secret in Jackso...

The best kept secret in Jacksonville is OUT and it's called Intercoastal Kids! Our daughters attend this school and we absolutely LOVE it. The curriculum is challenging but also real-world experience. All the teachers seem to get along with each other and are very respectful of one another. I know some parents aren't fans of the director, but in my opinion I think the owners know and that’s why they have been around lately. When the owner ask me to write a online review of the school since I have had two kids there over the last eight years, she said be honest every school always have room for improvement. I can tell you this is a GREAT preschool program and based upon my research is on par (if not better) than many other preschools in the area, but after all we have been there over eight years with two kids. And the one post on here where someone claiming the school is dirty, they have a cleaning company, Yeah, RIGHT...give me a break. We really love Mrs. Eliza she has been there for years, she is such a wonderful person, and as far as the Prevost family we love you guys. I could go on, and on so I will stop, we love Intercoastal Kids!!

My daughter attended Intercoastal Kids for VPK we live far away from the school and obviously were worried about the commute, but a good friend recommended the school to us and she is all about education, it’s amazing to me how much my daughter learn that year. My daughter was a part of that low VPK scoring class, she is also one of the nine children that they took on with a learning disability, and if it wasn't for them my child would have never got the help she needed. I also know that they have never gotten a low score other than that year, the owners have a son with a learning disability and I feel that’s why she went out of her way to keep my daughter. I am so happy that they helped my family and now because of the state rules and that one year test score they will no longer accept kids with learning issues. I was very upset to see that anyone would write these reviews on Intercoastal Kids. I feel like it's a disgruntle employee or the school around the corner. Mrs. Jasmine we love you, you did the right thing for our family and all of the other eight kids Thank you, and I will continue to spread the good word about Intercoastal Kids thanks for sacrificing a year of your VPK TEST SCORE for my little girl.

I have a child in the toddler group at Intercoastal Kids I am very happy to say that I am more than impressed with the school. I recently sent an e-mail to the Owner Jasmine and received a timely, thoughtful response and when I saw her a week or so later at drop off, she acknowledged the e-mail and updated me on the subject we were discussing. She knows the children by name, she visits the classrooms, chats with the teachers, and we have seen her at both centers God Bless her she is a wonderful person. Our experience with the school has been positive and our son also attended Exclusively Infants their baby center. I can't even believe some of the reviews, just lies people are crazy. I am a very happy mommy and love the school.

We have twins and they love going to the center. They are always excited to see their friends and the teachers. The school is very upscale, which I love! The teachers all have degrees and are really nice. I think the educational experience is worth the money. By the way they just remodel the school. I was referred by my pediatrician Dr.O about three years ago. We are very happy!

My daughter attended  Intercoastal Kids for VPK last year, we truly loved her teacher Ms. Eliza. She learned so much new things. The class also did really fun projects and went on so many field trips. Her assistant teacher was really nice also very warm loving old lady. At the end of VPK they had a lovely graduation with white gowns. I am a older mom so it was just what I was looking for. Very  important my daughter learned to read, the class is like being in kindergarten.

I am a former Employee of this Company. My son graduated from the VPK program, and is doing excellent in kindergarten . I am now expecting and I will be enrolling at Intercoastal Kids I love them! Ms.Jasmine is a wonderful person. She only expects the best from her employees. If you don't have your stuff together you can't work there. I am a certified teacher and chose to work here for two years.

The kids need for nothing, or even the employees. They treat everyone like family.

If you care about the health a...

If you care about the health and safety of your kids, stay away from this school. I witness unprofessionalism, bad and poor care of kids. Before I decide which school to go, I asked the teacher how many students will be in the class, she said 18 students, after school started I found out, she lied, there were 39 students in one classroom. I left after constantly seeing less teacher that suppose to be in the classroom, it was hard for them to control and start the class with so many kids. Teacher didn’t pay attention if kids wash hands after using the bathroom, after playing outside or drinking inappropriately from water fountains. By the way, my kids were sick every month after joining this school. The food they serve is junk food (full of sugar, frozen food, BAD CHOICES) and do not pay attention if you kids eat or not.
