We Special ordered a dining room fixture but needed 15 feet or wire and chain. They received the fixture and retired it the same day. The fixture was hung 6 days after we ordered. I call that great service. Will be back!

We bought our new bath fixtures here and had them ordered and in within a week. Fixtures were perfect! We will be back in the future for our lighting needs.

Spent 20-30 minutes finding the right shade for our bedroom Lamps. The salesgirl was extremely patient during the process. They do have a return policy in case I didn’t like it in the house but once home it looked great.

I have used The House of Lamps and Shades on my rental properties as well as our primary residence. The selection is second to none whether you need builder or luxury grade lighting. The knowledge their owner and long time employees have was refreshing and I highly reccomend going to them for your lighting needs. Lastly, they were surprisingly competitive on pricing. I'd much rather do business with a stand alone local businesses than a corporate store. A plus!

Buyer beware! We ordered a light fixture and waited 2 months and we still do not have it and the owner will not give us a refund. Do not buy your light fixtures from this store! The staff is extremely rude and when I told the owner, Sam Robertson that I was going to dispute the charge his response was "good luck" and when I said I was going to give him negative reviews on websites he gave me a thumbs up.

Upon further review of Google and Yelp reviews, this is a pattern for this store and owner. Buyer beware, if you come across this store or are researching, please save yourself a headache and continue on.

Good selection of lamps and shades, but they are expensive. No refunds on lamp shades so choose carefully.

The lady that helped us was fantastic! Knowledgeable and so nice. We are new to the area and we will be back to see her for more items I 'm sure.

This store by far has the largest selection of lamp shades in Jacksonville. I found lamp shades that I had been trying to find for years. I also purchased two lamps from the hundreds that they had on display. This store has lighting for everything that you can imagine. Dining, bath, outdoor, undercabinet, fans and anything else you would need. They had a great staff that was extremely helpful in selecting my lamps and shades. I am recommending all my friends to go there. P.S. They also have mirrors, furniture and accessories,
