I've been taking our pets to Dr Roy since the late 1980's. He had a thick Indian accent but let me tell you...he's awesome with his knowledge and expertise. I've had 3 dogs and now one cat who we've had since she was 4 mos. old who is 19 1/2 yrs old (about 98 comparative to humans) and just left the office with her. The care is expert and genuine. He had low overhead so you're not going to see a gorgeous waiting room with piped in music but it's clean and they care. He will be honest and up front. We won't go anywhere else. You can trust him. We do!

This is a very good place to take your pet. The office is clean, the boarding kennels are clean, the staff is friendly, and the Dr. Roy is considerate of every pet he treats. Although the prices are comparable, don't confuse this with First Coast No More Homeless Pets which is across the street on the same corner. I will always use Gateway Animal Hospital.

I got the best of what matter to my 3 year old cat the most. In just first visit the Vet prescribed the right medicine that worked like a miracle. The pills were not expensive either. And the Vet's exam fee were very reasonable. Why would I waste money else where when I got what my cat needed at much lower price. Thanks Gateway Animal Hospital for making the medical care affordable.

I have a100 pound american staffordshire that I took to this kennel when i was moving here to jacksonville. I had the dog there for 2 weeks and would come on saturday to pay for next week. Their kennel is closed on sundays to the public. Well come monday, I did a surprise visit, only to find some black dude spraying my dog with the water hose to get the blood off him. I confront him only for him to run away. The doctor said I had a bad dog and he was no longer staying there (he's been to many kennels and vets that love him and he's laying next to my 2 year old and 7 month old right now). well he said some 20 pound mutt with no scratches on it did the damage when he "got loose". If he was such a "bad dog" why wasnt I notified? DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. GO TO EMERSON KENNELS. THEY ARE CHEAPER AND 100% BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
