I shopped the store on beach Blvd in November. They have a HUGE selection. I brought a small piece of the carpeting that was on the stairs and landing trying to match something. I had been to many other carpet stores throughout Jacksonville and St. . Augustine. I almost gave up. BUT upon entering the store Will was very patient and had several suggestions that were going to work, blend the color and look perfect. After 45 minutes I trusted his judgement and bought the carpet. Every time I walk by the stairs now I wish I could do all the other bedrooms in this beautiful carpet. I am so pleased with it and get tons of compliments when people walk in the front door.

I have been shopping at Floor Trader for over 15 years now. Everyone has always given me exceptional service and great pricing. Chip Cookston has been my "go to" salesman for the past few years and he's been awesome. He has gone above and beyond on a few things over the years that NO WAY would some other companies and employees would consider! Thanks Floor Trader for all you do!!!!!!

Let’s start with the company I was going with. We set up an appointment to drive down to St Augustine to see some floor samples, and we drove 45 mins to get there. Just to find out that all of their main floor samples were not in the store because it was being shown at a local Home Improvement show. I wish they would have told us that before driving there. Either way we set up an appointment to have our floors measure. An hour before they were suppose to show up, he called me to tell me he was not able to make it, and that we needed to reschedule. That same day my wife I decided to visit The Floor Trader of Jacksonville on Beach Blvd. We didn't have an appointment. We just walked in and from the very second we walked in Scott Burton greeted us. We told him that we know that it's near their closing time but we just wanted to look. Scott said not to worry about closing time, that we should take our time and ask him any questions we have.. So we did.... Long story short, we walked out of there with the PERFECT FLOOR (Tiger Wood) and an awesome Finance deal. The installer (Justin) was at our house the following day to measure. WHAT A PROFESSIONAL GUY.. A week later his crew installed my floors... AGAIN WHAT A PROFESSIONAL group of guys.. What Justin includes in his Standard square footage price. Other companies will charge you extra for. These guys were awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Again 10 stars…. If you think you will get better service by paying extra at one of these private floor shops. THINK AGAIN… The Floor Trader of Jacksonville is much better. Thank you Scott for your EXCELLENT customer service, Justin (floor Mgr) for the financing options and thank you Justin (installer) and crew for a wonderful job.

Between Chip, my salesman and Richard & Nate, the installers, this was a great experience all around! My wood floors look absolutely fabulous! I would definitely recommend them for your flooring needs!

I recently renovated my condo and I purchased porcelain wood plank tiles and plush carpeting from The Floor Trader. I used my own installer for the tile and used their installer for the carpet. I absolutely love the finished product and am very happy with my purchase along with the customer service I received from their awesome staff!

Buyer Beware II - Similar to other reviewers, my experience with Floor Traders Jax is left to be desired; Once you select from their small selection, you'll be prompted to get one of their installers to setup the installation; You can sift through their webpage to read that they stand behind their product, but don't be duped. Be observant that once you sign their invoice, they like to disclaim any liability with their product by laying the onus on the installer; Having recently gone through this, I can attest that they DO NOT stand behind their product line; Having warped boards, attributing to less than par installation, my simple installation took over 4 months; Upon identification that the boards are warped and are not properly settling, my initial reaction was to work via the installer keeping the floor trader staff in the loop. To my surprise, I found them distancing themselves from the installation process rather quickly once I started to dispute the quality of the craftsmanship

My husband and I went to several flooring stores in Jacksonville, including Lowes & Home Depot, and we found that Floor Trader had the biggest selection of hardwood floors. I was very happy to see how much they had in stock and available for us to take home right away (big plus as we were in a hurry to get new floors in). The prices are similar to every other flooring store (no more, no less). The salesperson who assisted us was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in the flooring and installation process (we installed it ourselves). The flooring was easy to put down, nice quality and looks beautiful.

Buyer beware!! All is great when you are looking at flooring and purchasing, great service.........but, once you have purchased, you are on your own. Thank goodness we had a dependable installer, any and all questions and assistance asked from Floor Trader after the sale were inept, unhelpful and we were on our own........we will not go back, there are too many businesses that are professional and helpful. Amazing how "canned" all of the positive reviews look..........Buyer Beware!!

For months I wrestled with the idea that I needed new flooring. My wife and I visited The Floor Trader on Beach without a clue of what to do. Justin explained everything and sent an installer (Bobby) out to my house to measure. The price for material and labor was less than I expected. Bobby and his crew installed our flooring like true craftsman. My wife and I couldn't be happier with our new floor.

My new wood floors look beautiful and I could not be happier.
