I have had a problem with kidney stones for over eight years now. This is the doctor i chose all those years ago to treat me for this condition. He has been removing the stones for quite some time now. I am what you might call "a return customer". Still, after almost 8 years, he has not found a prevention for my problems. His bedside manner is condescending. He does not explain things in a way you can understand them and if you have questions, he will dismiss you and walk out of the exam room. He has made flipant remarks and been downright rude. After my last surgery, he never spoke to me in the holding area, nor did he speak to me after my procedure. I did not recieve after care instructions from him. In fact, a week before my procedure, I was told I would NOT be given pain medicine for my kidney stones, nor would he prescribe pain medicine after the procedure for any discomfort. The staff at the hospital was apalled. I was advised to find another urologist and to never allow this one to touch me again. Unfortunately, I still have more stones that need to come out and nothing to ease the discomfort from him. I felt he treated me as a poor, uneducated charity case with drug-seeking behavior. Sometimes, pain is real and I believe if he had felt the discomfort I did, he would see things in a whole new light.
