In operation since 1946, City Rescue Mission is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency and recovery services to homeless people. It also provides food, shelter, clothing, and individual and group counseling services. The organization operates a long-term residential recovery program that includes classroom instruction, job and life skills training, and Bible study and worship. In addition, it provides medical and dental care, educational sessions, employment placement and after care follow-up services. City Rescue Mission organizes a variety of community-based awareness and fundraising events.
