Founded in 1993, the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities provides support and assistance for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, dual-sensory impairments and related disabilities. The center receives funds from the Florida Department of Education. It also serves individuals in Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau and St. Johns counties in Florida. The Center for Autism & Related Disabilities offers training events and workshops, home consulting and counseling services for patients families. The center assists schools through functional behavioral assessment and support plans. In addition, it serves communities through dissemination of informational brochures on autism and related disabilities. The Center for Autism & Related Disabilities is located in Jacksonville, Fla.
