Beck's may be good at what they do, but they don't call when they say they will, and don't give a hoot about customer service. I dropped my boat off on a Monday (a holiday), with a promise I'd get a call the next day. I specifically said I needed the boat for the next weekend.

When no one called me, I called back on Thursday, first to hear that there were boats in front of me, and then a call from the mechanic saying he could have it repaired by the next day- Friday. I SPECIFICALLY SAID AGAIN I NEEDED IT FOR THE WEEKEND, and the mechanic said he would do his best...he said nothing about their hours. I called at 4:25 on Friday (nobody called me), I was told it was done, BUT THAT I COULDN'T PICK IT UP UNTIL MONDAY. When I complained and suggested there must be something we could do, he just said they had had the same hours for 50 years, so they must be doing something right. In other words, tough luck sucker. When I asked how a working man was supposed to pick-up his boat with those hours, he said "I guess you'll just have to take some time off". I am not happy at all with the lack of consideration or the attitude.

The Best group of ( MASTER Technicians) i have ever dealt with period..... When My Etec does something out of character it goes to Becks. They are straight forward people who get down to business and get it right the first time. As long as i have my Evinrude they will have my business........PERIOD!

I took my engine/boat in 3 years ago, I have an 04' Johnson outboard owned new without much hours on it at the time! it never quite ran good, it got worse as time went on and after some stalling, starting, bugging down and idling issues I took it in without any recommendations for this place. They tuned it on the water and got it back within that week, she starts, keeps idle and runs great, I run offshore with this single engine, I highly depend on the reliability of this engine! I'm pretty handy but prefer these guys going through my engine every other season, no complaints and thank you for doing a great job!

Can't say enough good things about this place. I've been ready to junk my old motor and buy a new one from them, after spending big bucks getting it fixed elsewhere. They were honest about repair and replacement costs, quick, and effective. Literally saved me thousands, when they could have just omitted some info and sold a brand new unit. They fixed all the problems from the former shoddy repairman, and did it fast. They have earned my trust, I highly recommend them.

They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Reasonable prices.
