I went to this office for a cold/cough in the beginging of May. The office was clean, the staff was professionaly and friendly, I was out in less than 1/2 hr. Overall, a good experience UNTIL I received the bill. The doctor had coded my visit as a "level 4" which according to the insurance company is basically an extensive/comprehensive visit based on my medical history. I was weighed, doctor listened to my lungs and gave me two RX's. As I said, my entire experinece in that office was less than 1/2 hour. How extensive could the doctor have possibly been in the 10 minutes she was with me? I think this office took advantage of me and my insurance company. Shame on you, I will never be back.

I have been to Amelia Urgent Care many times since my primary care doctor is often booked solid & I have multiple health issues. I have never had to wait longer than 45 min for treatment & everyone there is kind & compassionate. On one occasion I was having an adverse drug reaction & the physician was great at calming my concerns & helping me feel better. I've also gone there w severe flu & they actually called me the next day to check on me! Very caring people!

I don't normally write reviews this long, but brace yourself, because this is one experience that I must share:

I've been here 2 times now, and have had bad experiences during each visit. I visited last weekend and from the moment I called before even scheduling, the young lady on the phone (Destiny, the receptionist) was very rude. She had a very monotone voice that came off as an attitude, and it already put a bad taste in my mouth with the first impression of how my visit will go.

When I arrived, I checked in with Destiny, and she didn't seem as rude when I put a face to the voice I heard on the phone. Over these minutes, I watched her act unpleasant to other guests that came in as well, and those guests ended up leaving to go to the ER.

I waited (roughly) 96+ minutes. This was the last track of time that I had to count, since my phone died in the process. I think it was around 2 hours that I waited total, before getting my own room.

During the last 15 minutes or so, I heard the young girls (Destiny, the receptionist, and Jessica, the nurse assistant) gossiping about their fellow coworker, Melissa, and even about their boss, Mrs.Pat.

One even talked about how they were penalized with losing a future scheduled shift, since they called out a couple days prior to that day. Then, lead to say that they need another day off, and will probably just call out again since, "They won't fire her or do anything about it, since someone else stole money for drugs, and they didn't even get fired." I seriously COULD NOT believe my ears. This is not something that you should be talking about in front of a waiting room OR AT ALL.

Once Jessica, the nurse assistant, took me to the back on the way to my room, she weighed me, and measured my height. She was then very friendly to me.

I also went to the restroom, and couldn't even use it because it was a mess. I was disgusted that the bathroom wasn't maintained well at all.

However, I will note that doctor Atkinson was extremely nice, courteous, and had a great sense of humor as well. He really kept me from losing my mind. He helped me get over my cold and allergies within a few days.

I have never experienced such unprofessional settings and (most of the) staff in a practice, and I will NOT ever be going back. I will go to CareSpot or my Primary Physician from now on.

This facility is always clean and friendly. I live close by and it is ideal when I have a recurring UTI and can get in right away. The staff is professional and I can get in and out without sitting in the waiting area all day. The traffic is steady and moves in and out quickly. They get to the point and the doctors are friendly and helpful.
