Between July 2010 and August 2011, two major repair actions of ALL PRO Transmission Specialists on my GMC 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission w/ 180K miles were inadequate at best. 1st failure 182.6K miles. 2nd at 188K. One minor failure at 185K The boys at JAAAG, Inc. dba ALL PRO Transmission Specialists , deemed that their overhaul would be ~$1500 and warrantied [12months / 12K miles] at all ATRA repair shops. Repair took a 2 night motel stay At 182.6K miles, I was stranded in Louisville, Ky. w/ loud noise coming from the transmission. ALL PRO instructed me to see Middletown Transmission. They removed it and had them shipped it back to ALL PRO in Jackson? Luckily, I was w/ relatives and the 5 day turnaround was not a problem At 188K miles, 3rd/4th gear failed again in Nashville. Although still under ALL PRO Transmission warranty, I just could not delay this trip for ? days, so I had a Chevy dealer exchanged it with a Jasper rebuilt unit at $2610 w/ 3yr/100K mile warranty

Just found this.These guys SUCK! I spent ~$900 with All-Pro Transmission on the By-Pass in Jackson, TN back in 2005 or so to have the transmission rebuilt in my old Ford LTD mid-size wagon and they never got it working correctly during their 12 month"warranty" following the rebuild. I returned it to them four times and was without transportation for an entire week each time, which makes running a service business problematic. It has leaked transmission fluid and had trouble shifting into 3rd gear ever since then. After the "warranty" was up I just had to live with the problems as my own business (computer sales and consulting) slowed down due to the economy problems we have seen here in the USA. Problems due to over-regulation and crappy decisions by our too large Federal government, but that is another one star rating story ... Now the transmission in this car has slowly deteriorated after the horrible work done by All-Pro Transmission and I have to have it fixed ... again.
