Isable Elementary School is a public school located in Jackson, Miss. It enrolls more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. It prepares students through a flexible education system, which begins their development into well-rounded adults, able to contribute to the community. The school keeps abreast of new technology and the expanding knowledge base, and enables students to work cooperatively in a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment. Students apply problem-solving strategies learned through written, oral, technological and experiential applications in the classroom. The subjects cover various curricular areas, including English, mathematics, social science, science, health and physical education, music and art. Isable Elementary School encourages all students to participate in extracurricular activities, such as its newspaper, band, student council, and sports, such as basketball, volleyball and softball.
