My family and I have been going to Santee for years because it is special and we are always pleased with the service and the food. Although I miss some of the old recipes now that it is an Embers, (especially Tom's pancakes) the new affiliation has added some nice menu items and the old qualities are still there. Those qualities include the excellent staff, the variety of food always made with attention to quality, and the personal attention from the hostesses, the waitresses and the kitchen staff. It also has a nice atmosphere, homey but welcoming to travelers. We look forward to eating there and have never been disappointed.
