Formed in 1996, ALEKS Corporation is one of the leaders in the creation of Web-based, artificially intelligent, educational software. The assessment and learning technologies offered by the organization were first developed by a team of scientists and software engineers at the University of California, Irvine, Calif., with the main funding coming from the National Science Foundation. It has worked and specialized in the research of mathematical cognitive science, known as Knowledge Space Theory. Based in Tustin, Calif., the organization offers products, including various courses for both K-12 and Higher Education. It has won the Codie Award for Best Post Secondary Education Instructional Solution. Some of the clients of ALEKS Corporation are Antelope Valley Learning Academy, Chatfield Sr. High School, Beachwood Middle School and many more.
