Quoted one price over the phone to replace our capacitor. Commissioned service rep showed up and charged my wife a different price. $305 for replacing a capacitor. It took him 20 minutes to replace a $15 dollar part. He lied to my wife and took advantage of the situation.



I called the general manager and he justified the price by telling me how he had had essentially been ripped off by being charged high prices when getting his car fixed. It was a fair price and how we misconstrued the price given to us over the phone. The technician was speaking in general terms not about what our cost would be.



I called the corporate office in Dallas. They were helpful by telling me that they don't set the local prices and they would look into it. It went nowhere. (I won't ever buy the parent companies air conditioning units again either.)

I have been a customer of Norrell for 4 years and up until this point their service was acceptable. Recently I have had a terrible experience with trying to book service appointments for the inspections I pay for twice a year. I pay up front, yearly, so I guess once they have my money they could care less about working around my schedule to make sure my unit is inspected in a timely fashion. I also had someone come out and quote a ridiculously high amount just to top off freeon. I called around and found three other companies charging less than half of what he quoted. I also found out they don't keep up to date records of the service i have had done on my unit. 4 years as a customer and they couldn't tell me what part I had replaced two months ago!! Their customer service line is not helpful at all and a waste of time since they don't keep records of past service and technicians who have been to my home. I would not recommend their service to anyone and I will not be using them from now on.
