I have heard good things about the company in the past. They helped a person working through the housing authority achieve funding but required a lot of extra paper work. Also, They are not able to walk anyone through the process if they need help. Some people aren't sure what the guidelines are for receiving the loan. They did not want to take the time to talk through it. They are strict for qualifications and not very flexible as far as taking the time to explain the processes of the loan for someone meet their goals. Also, they were not as educated on lending practices that other IFA lenders were. I was surprised but I called someone else and was greeted in a more positive tone and helpful manner. Seems like Residential Mortgage Company really just wanted someone who was completely ready with money and great credit score in hand. I would look to other lenders on the Iowa Finance Authority site for great people to work with and programs they offer.
