I went in this location for the first time in March, I just had to add my review because of the excellent service that I received, staff was very helpful and friendly, Alyssa helped me pick my glasses while my eyes were dialated, and I appreciate the choice, being that I could barely see, my service was fasr, the doctor was very professional and helped me in every possible way, I have been without glasses for years, I got my glasses in 1 week and I’m so thankful that I can finally see again! I will definelty reccommend this office, thank you

I only am rating this one star because it wouldn't let me rate it with zero stars. The optical staff is clueless when it comes to HIPPA and obtaining and retaining your personal information. They wanted to keep a copy of my driver's license which I refused to give them and they also refused to release information regarding my son's prescription (which I paid for!) They seem to have all started working for the company that day because obviously they had minimal, if any, training. I too called the customer service number and they were just as clueless. I would steer as far away as I could from this "so called" vision center...unless you are looking for a chaotic experience with a clueless staff.

I advise you NOT to utilize this company for your optical needs! I made an appointment in January 2014 for my daughter to have an eye exam, showed up for it (mid February) and they had an office full of customers and NO eye doctor available. I should have walked right out then, and never looked back. But we did go back after rescheduling an appointment 'again.' After the appointment, we called to make a payment, and were assured the order was processed. It has been 2 months since that appointment, and we STILL do not have my daughter's glasses. The first time, my daughter called to check on them. They told her she was 'too young,' to have someone else call. She is a few days shy of her 18th birthday, can someone just give us an update, please?? So, I called, and they said that a machine broke at their manufacturing facility, that the order was delayed two weeks. I call again in two weeks, still a delay, but I am assured that they are ordered.. Next two weeks go by, STILL a delay, but I am assured that they have been ordered. Until today. We call for yet another update, and low and behold, they were never ordered!! There is no 'record of payment.' Wow. Just wow. At this point I do not trust a word they're saying and feel I should verify with the bank whether or not a payment was processed. When you call their corporate office to lodge a complaint, you get to leave a message. That's it. No call back as of yet, and believe me, I won't hold my breath for one. The person answering the phones at the 10th street office are extremely rude, unprepared, and unprofessional. Please, save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. I hesitate to even give this location ONE star.

I've been to numerous Dr Tavels and they are all the exact same way the other review states-- rude rude rude!!! They don't care at all about the customer!!!! I even called their main customer service number at 924-1300 and if you have an issue to discuss the message says to leave your name and number and someone will call you back. I've dove that twice and no one has called me!!!! Dr Tavel is a baaaaad choice for an eye doctor!!!!

I went there on a Saturday to get my daughter glasses, stood at the desk for 10-15 minutes before the woman spoke to me. It was not welcoming and neither were the employees. Plus it was a tiny place with not much selection. Needless to say, we left and went somewhere else. I won't be going back
