We believe that while today's high-tech world brings many advantages to modern society, one thing it can never replace is the value of one-on-one, personal interaction. Unlike many large insurance agencies where automated voice mail has become the norm, when you call Snyder Group, you'll be talking to a person who knows your name. And maybe even your favorite hobby. When looking at the overall landscape, we'd much rather have a handful of clients we know well, than a large number of people we don't know at all. It's a philosophy we take great pride in. And one we know our clients have always appreciated. Snyder Group, Inc was originally founded in 1919 as Phillips Insurance Agency in Jamestown, Indiana. After owner Rollie Phillips moved the agency to Speedway, the agency was purchased by Neal McCracken in the 1940s. Bob Snyder purchased the agency from McCracken in 1973 and today, he and his staff continue to serve a select group of customers from their Speedway location. ABOUT OWNER Bob and his wife Jan have combined insurance experience of over 60 years. They began their careers with AEtna Life & Casualty and continued to represent them until the company was purchased by Travelers Insurance Company in 1996. In business and in his personal life, Bob's favorite hobby is "developing relationships with people." Whether he's flying some notable politician to a political engagement, enjoying a "bike ride" with buddies on his Gold Wing, helping seniors learn to use computers or helping a client get through a difficult situation, enjoying people is at the top of his list. Bob is also a certified QuickBooks consultant and admitted "computer nerd." So no matter what highway you're headed down you can count on Bob to help you navigate the bumps and get you wherever you want to go.
