BUYER BEWARE! If you are considering shopping at The Room Place, I urge you to look elsewhere! I should've taken all of the awful reviews into consideration before I stepped foot in this store. At first glance, this seems to be a nice store with a good selection of furniture. Wait until you place an order though!

I can genuinely say that The Room Place has offered the absolute WORST customer service I have experienced in my life! I'm not joking!

I placed an order for a couch in January to make sure it would be available for our move in April. I called them on two occasions just to confirm that my couch would be available on the date that it was supposed to be available. Both times I was told it would be in with no issues. I received a call the next day telling me that due to a "computer error" my couch would not be ready until next week. Fast forward another week and I get the exact same phone call after I had already confirmed that my couch would be available! In fact, I even received a call from the delivery company giving me a time that they would be at my house! I thought I was in the clear until I received a call from a rude customer service representative who informed me that my couch would actually not be delivered due to yet another "computer error." I was incredibly confused and requested to speak with the manager who seemed more interested in getting me off the phone rather than taking time to hear my complaint. The manager actually revealed that the customer service representative had LIED (on multiple occasions!) and that there was never a computer error-they had never bothered to place the order for my couch. Mind you, we ordered this in January and it was April and my couch was still not ordered and no one could inform me when it would actually be ready. I was SO glad that I could get a full refund. I think it is atrocious that a manager feels like it is acceptable to tell their employees to lie to customers, saying that they had a "computer error" which is was actually their own fault. Maybe they should put themselves in the customers shoes and realize that we had a new house and nowhere to sit for nearly two weeks because of the incompetence of their poorly trained, unprofessional, employees.

I happily did business with Kittles across the street and had a great experience. I have a couch delivered within days and also received a hand written thank you note from the sales associate. You guys could really learn from them!

To the Room Place management: I have urged my family and friends NOT to do business at your stores. I will continue to spread my complaints through social media and the BBB. I refuse to do business with an establishment that lies to their customers.

Sales staff did a great job selling furniture, but goes downhill after that. Waited 3 months and never got the furniture. Once excuse after another and then they start blaming each other. Castleton location blames corporate office for the delays. Corporate office blames the manufacture for delays. The organization lacks any communication with each other, with their manufactures, and with their customers. Don't believe me just check the Google reviews for the location.

We, too, wish we would have done research before purchasing at Room Place. We were caught up in the 30% off sale and didn't do our research. In 16 years of marriage (several homes and lots of purchasing), this is the worst customer service we've ever experienced. We paid for 3 sets of bedroom furniture in April to be delivered the 1st of June. They showed up with only a few of the pieces and what they brought was broken. After several phone calls- most never returned- and 4 days of waiting for scheduled deliveries that never showed up, we finally canceled our order. We are now struggling to get the money that we paid them in April- over $4,000- for furniture we never received. I would highly recommend not setting foot in their store...even with the enticing sales... No matter the price, it's not a good deal if they take your money and you never get the merchandise!!!

Do not shop here. I also had a horrible experience with the delivery and customer service. I bought my furniture while my house was being constructed. First of all, the delivery men were late. When they came, they also stomped all in mud, sod and water and trampled it over my new hardwood floors and carpet. They also damaged my walls and banisters while taking the furniture upstairs. THEN... they told me that they forgot some of the pieces and I would have to reschedule a delivery! After complaining to customer service, they rescheduled for the next day (which I had to call into work). The next day, they showed up on time (still without shoe covers) and then told me they forgot the parts again! I was again told to reschedule. I have been given the run around and still have not received my furniture with all of its parts or assembled! the management at the local store is HORRIBLE and UNHELPFUL - jason, gary and especially GARY. the customer service people are also rude and unhelpful - JOYCE, DALE. i spent over $4000 and their resolution is to give me a $100 gift card to use at their store. ha! i will never shop there again, and encourage everyone else to go elsewhere also...

do not bother if you want quality

We enjoyed the shopping experience but when the furnature came in the installers stomped in our new sod and drug mud onto brand new carpet

we are still dealing with claims dept

we have had to have our dining room table replaced 3 times before they told us they would not replace any more becasue of quality control issues. it took several 1 hour + phone calls to get them to accept the return. check govt compaint site before you purchase. I spent over 3,000 and could've gotten the same quality for 300 at wal mart. Unfriendly CSR when dealing with issues.
