Stuart Mortuary has been the longstanding service provider for my entire family and extended family. In our most recent loss of my aunt, Stuart Mortuary once again exceeded our expectations of quality 5 star service and professionalism. Auntie had to be transported from Wisconsin to be laid to rest with in our family's plots at the cemetery. Stuarts did everything in the spirit of execellence allowing our family to focus on one another.

During the passing of my sister's mother, Stuart Mortuary preformed exceptional service.. The staff was phenomenal and they went out of their way to helping all of us. They mad the experience personal with a caring touch. I would strongly recommend this GREAT facility to service your family. For me and my house, we shall call on Stuart's.

A terrible experience

THIS DID NOT EVEN RATE 1 STAR


I had the unfortunate experience to attend a service at this mortuary. The people there are rude to the mourners. They asked us not to stand in the hall when we were trying to get up the courage to see our deceased and when we wanted to stands and talk to family they asked us to not congregate in the hall, We were not blocking any isles or doorways or exits yet the employees stood right next to me until I left the hall way. I felt rushed and watched the entire time I was trying to grieve. When bring in flowers they were dressed in T- shirts and ragged pants and just put them anywhere. When setting up easels, they took over a lot of space and were very disruptive. The service for my loved one ran long do to the wonderful out come of friend family and loved ones and the man in charge asked that we not stop to give our condolences but to go through the line quickly and go to our cars. I got up to the casket to say my farewell and was told to "move it along". I have NEVER been treated so badly before especially at a funeral home. As if all of that was not bad enough...When they were bringing out the casket, they just threw the flower arrangements on top of the hearse, One arrangements leaked green water down the side of the hearse and it was a white hearse, it looked so bad.
At the cemetery the family was asked to stand and leave as soon as the preacher said his prayer and they funeral director said thanks for coming.... He directed the family to leave their chairs and walk to the cars. This did not allow them any time with their loved one.
Needless to say that I will never use this mortuary nor will I EVER recommend it to anyone. I would not even recommend this place to someone I disliked.

Stuart Mortuary is very unprofessional! I wish we had done our research 1st before entrusting these morons w/ the arrangements for my brother. He died on 1/30/16 and his funeral was on 2/8/16. It's been almost 4 months since he's been buried and there STILL isn't a headstone on the grave (also purchased through Stuart). We're also still waiting on the death certificate from Stuart. The Coroner’s office mailed it to them several weeks ago. We've been trying to contact Stuart for the past 2 months & they always have an excuse. When we asked why the headstone hadn't been installed yet, we were told that because of the winter weather the ground was too hard to dig into and install it. I spoke with someone at Crown Hill Cemetery (where he's buried) on 5/31/16 and was told that this winter wasn't that bad and that they had no problems with installing their headstones. And, Stuart hasn't even sent the setting fee over to Crown Hill yet! Stuart has been paid in full for all services rendered.

Awful experience.

The experience we had with this business has been an awful one. First, they were supposed to pick our son up from the morgue and failed to do so after being called by the hospital. I had to get a call from the morgue saying he had been in the morgue a week. Now that they have actually gotten his body it has taken 5 weeks for them to do anything. I called and they said that he "still wasn't back." I'm not sure what that means. Very unfriendly people, wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. They also have terrible customer service, they have not called me one time. Even to tell me I needed to fill out paperwork before they would do anything. I ended up going in there by chance. Please don't use this company.

An Awful Experience

My family have entrusted this mortuary since they were on West St. ( now M.L.K ). In the resent year their service has been AWFUL. They don't give you enough time to view your deceased, they don't show any sympathy for the families, and the business part was WORST. It took 2 in a half months to get the death certificate, when we would call we never could talk to the person we wanted, always we were told to leave a message or someone would tell us they would return our calls ( never happen). We called the Coronor office they haven't received anything , called the Board of Health same answer, finally after several calls and a lot of lies I talked to someone and was told they had the death certificate and would send it in immediate. Well a week later we call the insurance company (nothing). Finally we faxed our copies in and they received it the next hour. Stuart Mortuary really let our family down. They showed no concern for us after the home going. I wish anyone who's looking to entrust their loved ones will read these reviews and not just use what the families been using for years. Things change and this mortuary has changed for the WORST. Our family will not recommend this mortuary to anyone.
