Please don't move in here. I have made several complaints (verbal and written) about mice in my apartment; exterminators come out and leave a note that says they set traps, but they don't. It took four verbal complaints for my bathroom faucet to run water. The staff are completely disorganized and uncaring. The laundry facilities usually only have two washers and two dryers working at a time and you have to use a laundry card which has to be loaded every couple of weeks. The problem with the laundry card is that the machine to load money (which breaks all the time) onto it is only in the leasing office, which is only open on regular business Monday-Friday, a couple of hours on Saturday, and not at all on Sunday. The location is convenient as it is very close to downtown without actually being downtown. The price is pretty good in comparison to many other apartment complexes in Indianapolis. Overall, I would strongly suggest living somewhere else if you have the means to do so.

Absolutely horrible place to live. Promised so much but has been awful since first week. Apartments are broken down, appliances are pitiful, bathrooms disgusting and frequently busted. The staff are rude and unhelpful as soon as you sign lease. All kinds of bugs, roaches and infestations, filthy amenities, and rents that are far too high for the standards here. Live anywhere but here!

I really wanted my Stone Lake Apartment to work, but after the maintenance men running in and out of my apartment more than my own personal guests, I am breaking my least very early. I had a flea problem, that was taken care of fast. I had a small outlet fire, water main break in one of the bed rooms, that flooded the carpet floor. Very very cold closets and floors, super high eletric bill, and 3-4 different times maintenance had been in to fix a fuse. Very quite neighbors. Wonderful amenities. It took over a month for Washing Machine company to refund my money, for broken washer I used. While letting them know I needed to break my lease agreement and move, they gave the feel of penalty money, money, money was more important than my safety. FYI get renters insurance.

These are the worst apartments I have ever lived in. Moving in was nothing but issues. My apartment smelled like smoke. I called about five times until someone finally came in to do something. I specifically asked for an apartment with washer and dryer connections and it ended up there was no washer connections. It took them FOUR months until someone finally came to even look at it. Another month for them to actually install it. The management is horrible. They are always looking for ways to charge your account. In the first month I lived there a guy was shot in the front of the complex. After two months a guy was stabbed. I never went outside unless I had a taser with me. I will never ever live there and I will tell everyone how horrible the place is as well. The place doesn't even deserve one star, but I had to put one.

I have lived at stone lake lodge since March 9th of this year. I initially moved in with my husband from Chicago, and wewe were looking for a nice, two bed/one bath with affordable rent and in a good neighborhood.. We lived previously in uptown Chicago, and other than his job transfer, the crime is why we left.. We knew nothing about Indy when we moved here, and i must say.... I am pleased with our apartment choice! I have since given birth to or first son, and i believe fully that stone lake I'd a wonderful place to raise my boy ! The woman who runs the place is strict as can be, and the has been ZERO shootings, stabbings, rapes, or any other major crime issues since we moved in! The amenities are amazing two pools, one is year around... A hot tub, tennis, play grounds, anda beautiful clubhouse with free internet, computers, tv, pool tables and more.. Everything is kept really clean, as well as the grounds.. They offer lots of activities to get involved in that are free of charge, movie nights with snacks, drink get togethers for adults, bibke study on wednesday, carnivals with games and prizes food and drinks... Halloween dinner also with games and prizes... Bingo seasonally, and other activities where you can win snacks, cash money, gift cards, and even free rent! Maintenance is up on everything.. Of course you're going to have leaks, thinks are going to break and need fixed... It's public housing for God sake.. But they do a great job at fixing things and on a timely manor.. My fridge started failing one night about two in the morning, and i was scared to lose my groceries.. By two thirty, all of my food was sitting in an ice cold, new refrigerator.. Overall, i enjoy living here.. I love feeling safe enough to walk around at night with my son... Security I'm knowing they will fix things on demand.. Being able to socialize at the free events offered and make new friends.. If you're looking for a place to live, on the Southside area.. This place is for you... It may have been a bad place at one point in time, but it is just lovely now..

I moved in about 3 weeks ago now, and have had nothing but problems. I really like this place, the model was beautiful and the amenities seemed wonderful. When we saw our actual apartment, it was a wreck! The kitchen counters were scratched down to the wood, there are punch holes in the exterior and bedroom door from the previous residents which they refuse to fix or replace. The window screens were broken, and when maintenance came out to replace the screen, they broke the window frame and are now refusing to fix that. Our toilet was running on and off, and maintenance "fixed" it with a piece of garbage bag, and it started to leak all over the bathroom. We had to deal with that all weekend since they "fixed" it on a Friday, and maintenance did not work on the weekends. We also signed a lease for a 1 1/2 bedroom, and when we got to the actual unit, we were missing our second sink and it still has not been put in, and they have no idea when they will be able to. They only info that they were able to tell us is that we are on some list somewhere waiting for this sink....for three weeks now, and no compensation has been offered for this. If this wasn't bad enough, the pools are FILTHY. They don't clean them. the water is green and there is a black rim around the edge of the jacuzzi. I am looking into filing a lawsuit, and just want to save any possible future residents from having to deal with all the problems we are having, and the rude staff they employ here. DO NOT MOVE IN.

This place is absolutely horrible. My unit is in bad condition, and they refuse to fix half of the problems. The pools and jacuzzi are never cleaned and filthy. The staff is extremely unhelpful and rude. Honestly, one star is too high a rating for this complex.

I have lived at Stone Lake lodge for 4 years. It is very nice to live now. When the current management company took over 2 years ago they really cleaned up the place and it is a totally different place. They are pretty tough on their rules, but that is what I like keeps the rule breakers out. Even the police officers I talk to say it is a totally different place. They say they do not have many runs here at all.

i agree with the above statement. i currently live here at Stone Lake and there is much violance here, not only 2 weeks ago a boy was shot here in the chest and left for dead, due to some type of drug traffiing IPD has assumed. You here lots of argue and noise in the middle of the night and also speed in cars in the parking lots! Not at all a safe place for children or anyone else. The apartments are ok themsleves besides slow maintenance men who are not at all proffesional. I have heard that they work themsleves around the state codes for inspections, but whom has the money to take a big business to court for it. hopefully they'll eventually get what they deserve. Also, the office people are nice when you move in then they are horribly rude once your in. So who ever you are DO NOT MOVE INTO STONE LAKE LODGE!

Sure they have indoor outdoor pool, hot tub tennis court, cheap rent, and parks for kids! But if you like the POOR quality apartments, VIOLENT neighbors, your car broken into, and ignorant maintenance men; this would be a great place for your children to be shot or parents robbed and considering huge amounts of drug trafficing being cased by indianapolis special units then i assume this is the worst possible place to live in the area! THESE ARE ALL TRUE FACTS LOOK THEM UP. 100'S OF REPORTS OF CRIME THIS YEAR ALONE AT STONE LAKE LODGE , INPLDS. CHECK IT YOURSELF! I URGE YOU NOT TO PUT YOUR FAMILY IN A PLACE LIKE THIS. PLEASE!
