I had some bike parts coated in basic gloss black. All if the parts were less than a superior finish (i.e. bubbles, blisters, rough edges) but what bothered me the most was I got my triple trees back with a couple blisters where the coating didn't stick. The guy in charge told me they never turn out perfect and they wouldnt crack or spread. I went ahead and paid them and took them home to put on my bike. I barely bumped them with a 3/4" wrench while putting the risers on and it took a big chip out of the finish. From that chip, it was very easy to peal more up and the finish was soft like paint. I called them back and they told me they couldn't recoat them because they would have to "burn" the coating off. They fed me a couple of other excuses and finally said they would recoat them but these parts are a lot of work to remove if they mess it up again so they wont be touching anymore of my stuff.
