Excellent food, very original serving style (raise the flag, and more sides are coming ;-) ), fast service.

There's just something about a Mom & Pop joint. Better still is a Mom & Pop joint that supports other local businesses. Top that with the most personal service you'll get anywhere in the city. From the moment you hit the screen door, you are treated like the most important person to cross the threshold. Papa will come around and talk to folks, calling some customers by name. They use the freshest ingredients, sometimes driving to the coast to go shrimping themselves. The sounds of New Orleans waft over the speakers. The smells of what the good folks are cooking hit you before you go in. Every now and then they cook up a new dish to try out on their faithful followers. The Cajun Chicken Chili Frito Pie is excellent if you can catch it as the weekly special. The two varieties of gumbo are delish. Free refills on all sides while you dine in...you can't beat it.
