Said my coil was bad in my air conditioning.Different tech came to replace trashing the old one taking it out.Later found a coolant leak outside and told me he wasn't sure I even needed the coil but still was forced to pay 1139 dollars anyway.Want RIPPED OFF this is who you want to use that's for sure.

It's a wonder my house did not burn down after calling dial one heating and cooling. The tech used wires to jump start my furnace then left it that way.



He could not fix my furnace but charged me 89.95 just to tell me it was broken. (Diagnostic Fee)

We called and scheduled an appointment to have our air conditioner serviced, for it was not cooling as normal. The technician arrived the next day and stated he could not clean it, for the unit was defective and/or low on freon. The technician described many different services he could perform--anything from the minimum of filling the unit with freon or selling us a new unit. The technician seemed unsure of his work and had to phone a colleague numerous times for assistance. After 2 hours and many conversations, the technician seemed to settle for the fact that we did not want to purchase a new unit. He told us the only repair that would work is to add freon. We authorized the charge and the ac unit slowly began to cool down the home more. The next morning the temperature in the home had risen again and would no longer cool. We called another company, recommended by a friend, and the technician from the new company also arrived the same day. He determined the unit needed to be cleaned and was now TOO FULL of freon. He let out at least a pound of freon, almost 2 he stated. The ac began to cool down after the cleaning was performed and has been working successfully since. Our complaint is with the inferior service sold and the horrible response time from the senior managers. I phoned Dial One the day after their service was performed to complain. I never received a call back. After making 5 calls over several days, I finally reached "Dan" a supervisor. He instructed me that he could refund what the other technician removed and asked me to fax in a copy of the new companies work order. We did promptly. Dan was supposed to call us back once he received the work order--he did not, so I phoned him again. He stated he did not receive it, despite the successful fax confirmation slip we have. I confirmed the fax number, it was correct, and faxed the invoice again. Dan again promised to call us with a resolution and a refund. He did not. My husband and I have made 10-12 phone calls over 6 weeks to resolve this issue. Superviors will not return your phone call. They do not document calls once you do reach them and you have to begin the process over again with a new supervisor the next call. The supervisors lie and do not honor their committments. The technicians are untrained and are "selling machines" only--they do not have the knowledge to conduct repairs, but only to scare you and try to upsell you. We would rate the services and courtesy we received from Dial One the lowest possible rating. I not only do not trust the technicians, but also do not trust the supervisors. Every employee we encountered failed to do either what they were supposed to or what they promised to do. Poor service all around.

very poor quality furnaces

We had an furnace install 4 years ago and we have had to have it serviced 10 times and even multiple times on the same day. We currently called at 9:30pm to have it repaired for the second time today and have been told twice it will be an hour, it is going on the 8th hour now. Not sure why you are call dial one hour if you don't do anything within a hour. After spending over a thousand dollars on maintenance and repair on a new machine it's a little hard not to feel ripped off. I would of put no stars but I am unable too.

Dial One Hour representatives are dishonest, lazy and scheming. I called to have our air conditioner looked at as it was not turning on. I turned my back for two seconds then the rep entered my home and all of a sudden our new thermostat was no longer working.



They offered to sell me the same version for $570! I paid less than $100 for it originally. I said no thank you, we will fix it on our own, please just look at the outside unit as requested. They refused saying there was nothing they could do, I now owed them $89. I told them no way, they threatened to call police. I asked them to PLEASE call the police since this is clearly a scam.



I am currently pregnant. I was so enraged by this that I started shaking. My dear husband was completely freaked out about my health and paid the guy, telling him to get off our property.



I WILL NEVER call, recommend or use this company. I looked at their BBB file, they have a steady stream of complaints.

I thought I would get a head start on preparing for winter and so I called on Dial One to come and check my furnace out and to provide a routine service. They were great - completed the service quickly and were in and out of my home before I knew it! They did not charge an arm and a leg too, which I really appreciated.

Dial One installed a central AC system for me and they did well. Price was reasonable and service was better than I expected from the techs that were at my home. All the info. they gave me upfront was accurate and helpful. Now I can look forward to staying cool this summer with my new AC.

Weak at Best

Well, I thought I was getting my money's worth from Dial One (or whatever their name is this week). I purchased their maintenance agreement for heating and air and after having my AC serviced by another company, I realized they did not clean the coils. They told me the unit was leaking oil severely and tried to sell me a new unit. The new company said that the leakage was minimal and expected in my older unit. The coils were filthy and had not been cleaned during their process at all. They also did some outside spickets for me under the former name and those leaked the 1st winter. I had to get upset and they still charged me the for a service call but replaced the spickets for free ($5.00 part I assume). I have heard from friends who have purchased extended service plans on newly installed units that the reason they change their name often is so they don't have to cover past the manufacturer's warranty on their dime. I can't verify if that is true, but if so, shame on them. We all work for our money, and we need service experts that genuinely care about what they do. I would not recommend this company.

Quick and On Time

After reading all the negative reviews I want to give these guys some credit because my experiences have been great.



I called them at 10:00 today since I wanted to get a second opinion on a Heat Pump that hasn't been working properly. I had another company out yesterday and wanted to verify their findings. I told Dial One that this, they said no problem and that there wouldn't be a charge. They said a technician would call 30 minutes ahead of when he could get their (either today or tomorrow, which is fine by me since my hours are flexible). At 10:45AM the same day I received a call, the tech had an appointment canceled and could be at my house in 30 minutes. I left work to meet him there...he was 10 minutes early and beat me home.



The helpful tech ran his diagnostics, confirming to me what the prior contractor had diagnosed, wrote out a job ticket for $0.00 and asked if there was anything else I needed.



They did all this and only asked that they be allowed to quote the work that may be needed. At a minimum; I'll let any company quote work if they've been this helpful thus far. There is no guarantee who'll get the work, but I won't deny them the chance.



Note: They've never performed actual installation or repairs for me, so I cannot speak to that end.

WORLD WORST COMPANY

I purchased what I thought was a new Heat Pump/air conditioner 2 years ago. It has been serviced 3 times and it still does not put out cold air. This company will send the same person to your home to tell you they are doing nothing that you don't pay for. After I have already paid for "A BRAND NEW UNIT" that has never worked properly. What would make me happy it to have have to call this company every season because there BRAND NEW UNIT does not work. I also had to call in the winter because the system was not getting warm.

Dial One Hour cares nothing about their customers or their employees unless it is benefitting them financially. They prioritize their calls by the age of your heating / air / plumbing equipment. If you want them to get there quickly, tell them your equipment is 20+ years old, you'll be first priority because they want to replace your equipment. If you have new equipment installed by Dial One, you'll be second priority. Third priority if your sick or have young children, Fourth priority if you have a Maintenance Agreement with them and if you're a new customer or have no maintenance agreement you'll be last priority...good luck, if they're busy.



Most of the employees work very hard, so it's not their fault, it's management.



Dial One has a very high turnover rate for employees because they expect their employees to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week and care nothing about them.



It's all about Dial One, it's all about money and that's all that matters to them.
