Dr. Jordahl-Iafrato graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She grew up in rural Arizona and then attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Following medical school, she completed residency at Banner Good Samaritan in Phoenix, Arizona, spending an additional year there while completing a faculty development fellowship and serving as junior faculty. She then moved to rural Arizona, working first on the Hopi Reservation and then in the mountain town of Show Low. After deciding to return to her love of teaching, she spent almost six years working at the University of Arizona College of Medicine at South Campus Family Medicine Residency, serving as faculty and then program director. She has been involved with organized medicine at both the state and national level, most recently serving as chair of the AAFP Commission on Continuing Professional Development. Her professional interests include women’s health and rural health. She lives in Broad Ripple with her husband and their two dogs, Molly and Laney. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and learning about the local food scene.
