My husband and I gave Clarence (owner) as much benefit of the doubt since day one, and we were met with the most unprofessional and slow service I've ever received. Upon the initial consultation appointment, I paid outright the cost for services and parts needed for the repair and scheduled a day and time for Clarence to come out for the repair. Since then it took nearly a month for him to come out and finally fix our fridge. In that month time frame, he rescheduled on me twice which I was very accommodating due to his reasoning of having a busy schedule. When he finally arrived to do our repair, he gave us an excuse and a sob story about how he had been sick. We gave him the benefit of the doubt then as well even though his reasoning for rescheduling on us twice was due to having other appointments. So which is it? You're too sick or you double booked us and didn't manage your time very well? After fixing our cooling fan in the fridge, I realized he had not brought the plastic bins for our freezer that we already paid for. I contacted him and he said that he had forgotten to order them. I gave him another month to do this and followed up with him almost once a week to check on the ETA on when those bins were getting here. Each time he said he would let me know when he would find out when they shipped but there has not been a time, not even ONCE that he reached out to me first. Naturally, I'm fed up by this point because its almost Christmas and I reached out for his services in OCTOBER. Instead of acknowledging and addressing my concerns that I still have no freezer bins that I already PAID for, he whines about how I gave him a negative review. My husband called him over the phone and again, he will not address the fact that we have paid for a product and service that still have not been completed. Instead, he continues to throw a tantrum like a two year old repeating himself over and over that he had fixed our fridge. My husband had to hang up on him because he's never had such an immature conversation with a 60yr old grown man. Needless to say we are in the process of disputing our charges until we see a refund for the product/service we didn't receive. I feel scammed and am totally appalled by this so-called professional's behavior. Because of Clarence and his POOR customer service skills, I will never be using Thumbtack again to find services from independent contractors.
