Lucky Dog is outstanding. I have taken my 5 year old laborador retriever there since he was a year old for 2-5 days a week. I have also boarded him overnight for 1-14 days occasionally. He loves the place. He jumps up on the glass door when we arrive and he returns home tired and happy. The owner, Robin, and her employees love the dogs and know the personalities and preferences of each one. I am grateful that we have this place in Indianapolis.

Very happy with daycare

My dog has been attending morning daycare a few times per week for several months now, and has been all day a few times.

She is eager to go inside and join the dogs - gets excited even before we enter the parking lot - and is happy (and tired) when I pick her up. The staff have always been friendly, conscientious, helpful, calm - my high-energy dog can be a handful occasionally and they always handle her well.

Luck Dog's web cam is a great feature and I do pull it up just to watch sometimes. I have no reservations or concerns about trusting them with my dog and would definitely recommend them.

Will never take my dog there again!

I took my dog to the Lucky Dog Retreat about 3 times. My dog is a well behaved 1yr old that has been socialized with other dogs since she was born. People that I work with told me they had horrible experiences with Lucky dogs daycare and boarding but I brushed it off and continued to board her overnight there. The second time she stayed there she got bit on the ear but I figured thats what happens when dogs play all day. The last time I boarded her, several days ago, I picked her up and didn't notice anything. After she woke up from sleeping all day I noticed she did not want to walk. I looked at her feet and the pads on her paws were completely worn off and raw. Every time anything touched her sore covered paws she would start shaking uncontrollably from the pain. I had to wrap all of her paws up becuase she was in so much pain and its going to take a long time for them to heal. I called lucky dog and the person in charge said that it was not their responsibility because they aren't a kennel and was quite rude. She said it wasn't there fault that she runs around the entire time she is there. When I dropped her off I had specifically told them that since she got bit the last time to put her up for a time out if necessary. I worked as a vet tech for many years and it is a fact that you must be aware of every dogs physical state in order to conduct a safe business. I was under the impression that when you pay someone to watch your dog that they would be responsible?!! Go ahead and spare yourself and your dog the pain and find a place that actually cares about the animals that stay there. The lady in charge over there is obviously in the wrong profession because she seems totally emotionless and uncompassionate (never once smiled)! Also they refused to refund me any of the $55 that I payed for my dogs day and night stay.

Lucky Dog Retreat is Excellent!

I always find these reviews helpful, so I thought I would take the time time to share a wonderful experience. As a new dog owner to a rescued and scared dog, I was very nervous about the doggy day care. Day 1, was as expected. "Buford" put the breaks on and had to be dragged in whimpering and crying. This put me in tears, because I did not want him to feel unsafe and abandoned. Robin, the owner, assured me that he would settle in and that I could watch his progress on the webcam. Not only did I watch him, all of my friends and family now tune in daily to watch Buford. We are on our 7th visit to day care and I am MORE than pleased with the service, the staff, the cleanliness and the high level of trust I have built with Lucky Dog. Now Buford cries when he has to leave. I HIGHLY recommend Lucky Dog to anyone needing daily care. Buford has built his confidence level and is very happy! Thank you so much Lucky Dog Retreat!
