This place is a secret gem! My boys and I stopped in here on vacation and we absolutely loved it. They have so much great stuff and their prices are amazing. They have more than just rocks or gems. Thay have books on lapidary work and making your own jewelry plus so much more. I only made it through 2/3 of the store because they have so much to see. It is somewhat unorganized and dusty but honestly, any true rock hounds don't care about a little dirt. It was like a treasure hunt! We spent a good hour in there and still didn't see everything. Jox Rox Rocks is 4 hours from where I live but we will definitely come back everytime we're passing through. Seriously, come check this place out!

I don't agree with the other review. I haven't been to many rock shops, but I'd say this is one of the best shops. They may not have very good organization but I thought the staff was very friendly, and they were well knowlageable and they explained to me what a lot of those stones were. When I went there with my cousin he and I had a lot of fun , the organization didn't bother us because they had a decent sized inventory so we found a lot of nice things and I would recommend it to everyone.

I have been to many rock shops, and I have to say that this one is the worst out there. It is small, dark, and dingy. It is very dirty and unorganized. Just because the specimens are rocks, doesn't mean that the shop can't be customer friendly. Every other shop out there is clean and the items are all easy to find items. This shop just puts specimens where ever they can squeeze them in. The people who work there aren't too friendly, especially to those who are not regulars. Don't bother with this shop. There are others nearby that are much better and worth the drive.
