The shop itself is set up pretty nicely. JT is an AMAZING artist, like for real he does some great work. He is also a really nice, cool, and thoughtful person. I was extremely satisfied with all of the work he did for me. What separates him from most artists is that he really cares about what the customer wants down to every single detail. He worked on me until every detail was just right. I will continue to go back to him and I HIGHLY recommend you all do to!!!

I really enjoyed my time at Indy Tattoo Works. Me and my two sisters went to have tattoos done to memorialize our mother. Jon took the time to hear our ideas and see our sketches. He did an AWESOME job drawing up the stencils! We made an appointment and he gave us his full attention! My sisters and I turned his lobby into our own little hang out, and he made us feel at home. My tattoo was very detailed with a lot of straight lines and he NAILED it! My sisters and I were very happy. I recommend setting an appointment. Once you have done this, Jon makes sure that you are the priority, even with a bunch of people walking in. Will go back here any time I need ink done.

I went here to ger my first tattoo, I had first had a design that JT told me would not do so great where i wanted it. He then showed me where the tattoo would look better. Made the stencil applied it where he siad on my right chest and it look way better then where I had wanted it. The tattoo was great every letter perfect, later told me tattoo after care instructions and i followed them and my tattoo healed very quickly. I will come back here very soon

i went in here to get my first tattoo that every other place told me would be 100 an hour for any tattoo,my first tattoo was a 6 hour piece so,that would have been 600 for a 4 inch tat!!! i went here and jon was extremely knowelegeable,does AMAZING work,and is much less than his competition,the best part is it came out even better than i had hoped,all in all i was very impressed and WOULD recommend indy tattoo works to a friend and WILL go back again,he also told me that hes been tattooing for almost 30 years...go to indy tattoo works and u WILL be happy :)

My best friend and I are both 20-year-old female students and she is considering getting a tattoo and, after thouroughly researching Indianapolis tattoo businesses, we found that Indy Tattoo Works had the best reviews and decided to give it a try. All she needed was a consultation; a professional's opinion and suggestions. We called before we left and were told they closed at 11 pm and we arrived around 9 pm. JT was working and we walked in and we were not greeted. He was in the middle of a task and turned around all of a sudden and said, "Yeah?" We had brought several pictures and a sketch of what she wanted and he did not invite us to sit down and she could only show him one. He insulted the drawing and told us that we she needed to improve a line because "it was crooked" and a flower that was too "sketchy." Neither of us have gotten a tattoo before, but we were under the impression that the artist would re-draw the picture so it would be perfect for the finished product. While we were standing there talking to him, he was constantly fidgeting and turning around, making it perfectly clear we were not welcome. We were so shocked after reading the the exceptional reviews the business received. We left after a few minutes and even though we took a business card, we will certainly not be returning. We were treated as if we were stupid and an inconvenience, not a potential paying customer.

Indy Tattoo works is the one place that i have ever been too that takes the time to make sure that you get the tattoo that you want and more! JTA & Jon go over the top to make sure that you are getting what you want. I have know JT for over 10 years and have yet to be disappointed with any work that JTA has done.



My wife and I will not go anywhere else but Indy Tattoo Works! thanks again JTA for being so damn good!
