Glasgo Memorial Veterinary Hospital is a small animal clinic on the west side of Indianapolis, near Avon, that provides care for cats, dogs, and some pocket pets. Our practice was founded in 1976 by Dr. Charles Geckler. With his loyal staff and dedicated doctors, he has provided excellent care throughout the years. With assurance of continuing an excellent standard of care, Dr. Geckler entrusted Doctors Jennifer Glasgo and Jessica Jackson with ownership of the practice in 2014. Doctors Glasgo and Jackson are twin sisters whose father was a veterinarian; he passed away when the girls were only 5 years old. They decided, early in life, to follow in his footsteps and continue the family's commitment to animal health. They attended Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated together in 2009. Owning a practice and working side-by-side was a lifelong goal for the sisters. In honor of their late father, the practice became Glasgo Memorial Veterinary Hospital in 2015. We want to keep your pet healthy and happy with routine preventive care. We offer annual exams to check overall health and find any potential issues that could affect your pet's health in the future. Our doctors and staff know that taking time to answer your questions is key to early problem detection, so feel free to mention any concerns you might have. We also offer geriatric profiles for your senior pet as an additional tool for early detection of disease. We are committed to you and your healthy pet. In addition to yearly examinations and geriatric profiles, we offer surgery, vaccines, dental procedures, radiology, diagnostics, deworming, and preventatives against fleas, ticks, and heartworms.

My pets always have the craziest and worst health problems. Dr. Jackson and Dr. Glasgo always go the extra mile to determine what is going on with them. My pets are my babies and it means the world to me to have a vet that seems to care as much for my pets as I do. They staff is always friendly and helpful and I have never been waiting for more than 15 minutes before seeing a doctor. I have found my forever vet!

My entire family used to love this place. We saw Dr. Geckler and Dr. Kelly regularly with our pets since 1999. Last year we found out Dr. Glasgo was taking over. She seemed friendly and knowledgeable, BUT $290 for a 20 minute appointment to diagnose our dog's UTI is ridiculous. Sadly, we are going to find a new vet.

My family has been going to Dr. Geckler since I was a young teen, approx 30+ years and then we started seeing Dr. Kelly a few years ago when our Chow Chow Bear, had Kidney Failure and Dr. Kelly was so very kind & understanding!! Unfortunately in less than this past year, I have lost 2 of my kittys & LONG TIME BESTIES, Whiskers & Kiara & with Whiskers who had a tumor under his tongue, Dr Kelly & I faught 4 him for MONTHS, until we both knew it was time 4 Whiskers to go to a better place, a place with no more pain!!

BOTH Dr.s ARE AWESOME!!!!

Geckler veterinary hospital ha...

Geckler veterinary hospital has been wonderful to my family, and in particular our Corgi. Dr. Kelly has always done an amazing job of making our dog feel at ease, as she doesn't like being poked or prodded, esp the hind-quarters. We brought our Corgi to Dr. Kelly last summer due to a growth on her leg that just didn't seem like a "fatty deposit" she had on her front quarter. He couldn't identify it until after surgery, but we went forward with his assurance that if successful she could continue a good quality of life, even at 12 or so years old. After surgery, he identified that the growth was in fact cancerous, and that our Corgi would likely have the same problem 3-6 months down the road. We all agreed that at her age, further surgery would not enhance her quality of life. I'd say that our Corgi was mostly recovered after a month, and was back to the quality of life that such an aged dog should have within 2-3 mths. We had her for another 9 months before we finally had to think humanely about her quality of life. Personally, I was very glad to have this last year with our pet Corgi, and am very happy with the quality of service and care provided by Dr. Kelly and Geckler Vet Hosp. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Kelly is great with cats!

I have been taking my two cats to Dr. Kelly for a few years, now. He has been fantastic. I have tried several vets over the years, due to relocations. Dr. Kelly is by far the best. One of my cats was having problems with his liver. He was jaundiced and dying. I took him to the emergency vet by the airport. They did a great job keeping him alive through the weekend, but told me it was time to decide where I was going to draw the line on spending and work to save him. I took him to Dr. Kelly who assured me that my cat had plenty of fight left and a good appetite. He pulled through just fine. This same cat is large and fiesty. Most vets are intimidated, but Dr. Kelly does a great job with him. We love Dr. Kelly! I hope he never retires and I never relocate.

Very Good and kind.

My fiance and I have been going to Dr. Geckler since we got our puppy about a year ago. He is always very kind and caring. He knows I am a worrier and always reassures me about what is going on with Viola. I highly recommend him.

Highly recommend: Kind and Caring

I highly recommend Geckler Veterinary Hospital. We have an older greyhound that recently started having seizures. When we arrived, we were panicking but the staff was so reassuring and kind. I am very pleased with the people working there, because they really do care. Dr. Geckler even called us later on at home to check on Gipper. We really appreciated all of the personal attention, especially since we were so distraught about our dog. We have taken our animals to Geckler Veterinary for years, and we will definitely continue to do so in the future.

Extremely Bad

I took in my Pomeranian she had a puppy stuck, the puppy was breach and unfortunately he passed away. I bought her in to the Vet artound 7:30 am, and the secretary told me that the Doctor was in, but that he could not take care of us, (remember the puppy was breach and dead). I left furious and took her else where. I DO NOT recommend these people to NO ONE.

This woman fails to leave out that the doctor was in the middle of a surgery at the time of her arrival. To leave an animal under anesthetic for any longer than needed is unhealthy and unprofessional. One can be assured that this was an extremely rare instance.
