Gaylor, located in Carmel, Ind., is one of the largest independent merit shop contractors in the United States. It provides a variety of commercial, industrial, telecommunications and institutional construction services for businesses and organizations throughout Indiana and the Midwest United States. Its services include facility construction, maintenance, equipment installation, cabling, integration, design/engineering and procurement. Its clients include United Airlines, Avon Ambulatory Center, Adams Mark Hotel, Marriott and Eli Lilly. Gaylor was founded in 1984 as VGJ. In 1998, the company was named by Associated Builders & Contractors as the National Contractor of the Year.
