Worst hotel ever

I really did not want to give this place one star to begin with. Everything about this place is the worst. The ppl that work here are rude and lazy. House keeper left me a nasty note on my door calling me a lazy fock. Told front desk and they could care less ugh so rude. Nobody wants to do there job and if u ask them anything they act as if your getting on there nerves. I ask them to come and fix my tv. they never came. the tvs are so freaking old and the pic is super fuzzy with lines running up and down. in the back of the tv theres a pice of chewed up green candy holding the cord in place ewww! The rooms are not clean. I payed $300 a week for two weeks because I was moving to indy from out of state. My car broke down after my first week was over and because I had to have it in the shop. I had to stay another week in this dump or I would have left. I just can't believe how rude and cheap the ppl that run this hotel they don't even give u towels. They want you to pay $30 for two WTF!!! Stay away. Oh and ps there's no place to eat here. It's closed down nuff said.

Great Experience

I stay at the Ramada Eastside all of the time, at least 4 times a month. The people are very professional, friendly and warm. The rooms are not great, but for $29.95 a night you can't beat them. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

Bad customer service

I try and be fair with my reviews. At the end of the stay, I had came close to rating this place a 1 star, but it was really devided between 1 and 2 after my experience here.

To start my review off, I placed a call to this hotel for an inquiry on a (Ramada) shuttle van to pick me up at my company a few blocks away. Out of many hotels I called, this was the only one with a shuttle van for customers to be able to be shuttled around town. I was considering a high rating for the shuttle service alone.

The shuttle driver took longer that expected but he was very nice.

The hotel is attatched to a Bennagins Bar and Grill. The driver suggested us eating there. We ate there after checking in. Though I am not rating the restraunt, it is great food for a very reasonable price.

I was quoted a price for the room. Then at check out I was charged more than what I was quoted.

The room was nice to see. A mini fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board. The bed was hard and gave me a sore back. The showers were okay. Overall the price was a bit high.

Check out time was 11 am. I called the front desk to ask when the shuttle driver would be in and was told noon. I asked if we could stay in the room till then. I was approved to do so. About 5 minutes later I received a call from the front desk speaking to a woman whom was a bit rude in telling me that we had to leave the room or be charged a half a day. I explained to her that I just called front desk and had approval from a man to stay till the shuttle driver came at noon. She said that if we were not out by noon then we would be charged. We decided to leave the room earlier and sit in the lobby because of that.

While sitting a waiting for the shuttle driver we experienced the worst customer service with another customer that I have ever seen. The customer was not loud, rude, or out of line with the service desk. Yet the people at the service desk was lying to her and giving her the run around about her room. From listening intently to the almost whisper of the conversation the married couple came to stay the night and the room turned out to be dirty. It was not thoroughly cleaned. Trash still in the cans, dirty carpet and dirty jaccuzzi tub that she cleaned herself.

She spoke with the manager (turned out to be the owner) the day earlier and he said he would make it up to them. He sent them a bottle of champaign which she had with her at the desk sitting on the counter. The manager, being in the other room stayed in the other room most of this time. The employees were saying that he was not there and that there was no one there that could help her. She was asking about the manager that she talked to the day before and was told he would not be in till later. Yet he was in the office hiding for which he was at the counter just before she came to it. The customer started getting a little louder but never out of bounds about the situation. Next thing we knew the manager, who turns out to be the owner, came out of the office yelling at her, yelling for her to shut up. He grabbed her champain bottle and started slamming it against the counter and started accusing her of harrassing the desk people and cursing them and yelling at them when none of that was true. We were there from the beginning. Then he went back in the office with the champaign bottle. Our shuttle driver came before we could see the ending of this. This customer was handled wrongly. Being talked into staying another night that it would all be taken care of, then trying to brush her off when her stay was done.

I personally would not go back to that hotel again.
