Owned by the city in which it is based, Indianapolis Water offers total water management solutions for commercial, industrial, municipal and residential customers in central Indiana. The City of Indianapolis acquired the assets of the Indianapolis Water Company from NiSource in May 2002 and turned the management duties over to Houston-based Veolia Water, one of the world s largest contract water and sewer utility operators. In similar partnerships, Veolia also operates Harbour Water, IW Morgan Water, Darlington Water and Liberty Water, which serve four counties near Indianapolis in central Indiana. The City of Indianapolis owns those four companies as well.
