Dr. Clinton O. Hale founded Baptist Academy in 1971. The academy is a ministry of Villa Baptist Church that is an independent Baptist Church. A school board made up of officers of the Villa Baptist Church governs the school. Its enrollment represents students from various churches in the area and provides both elementary and high school education. Baptist Academy uses the King James Version of the Bible. Interscholastic competition in soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball and softball is organized for grades five and six whereas the intramural basketball and cheerleading is for grades one and four.The academy is located in Indianapolis, Ind.
