I have had 2 of my 5 tats done at the W. Washington Street one. The first one I had done was amazing and I really loved the artist. The second time I went, the previous artist I had moved to the Avon one. I was with a group of people and we decided to stay at the washington street one. The artist I had was awful. He was rude and very antisocial. When he did mine, he pushed way to hard on my chest, was digging the needle in, and was just very rude. I had told him what I wanted done and he had to ask me when he was in the middle of doing my tattoo if he could add color, which I had already said I wanted before he started. I will not be going back to any Artistic Skin Design because of this.

The North location is the best! Their space is private. They like what they do and they are friendly. No hassles.
Forget the Noblesville location. Completely different set of rules. Don't follow posted business hours. (Open until 10:00pm but when you arrive at 8:45pm you will be told winter hours are until 9:00pm and they need more than 15 minutes to pierce your ear). Yup, they rudely turn away 2 customers and required additional documentation which they tell you only after you arrive.
apologies for the misunderstanding but we have requirements as far as the documentation necessary for any procedure we offer. to go around them under any circumstance would be unprofessional. we sterilize for each and every piercing right then, plus the set up for the whole procedure...this is something that MUST be done and it takes a certain amount of time. its generally best to call ahead if youre not sure about the required documentation for minors/parents, and we can certainly fill you in on how long a procedure will take so you can be here with enough time to do it. we have 7 different locations and sometimes hours and documentation required can vary per location/county. we strive to accomodate each and every customer as best as possible. at the end of the day we are artists and professionals and we do not rush things or bend the rules, simply to uphold our professional standards. once again, apologies for any inconvenience or misunderstanding.

The Noblesville one must be staffed with the most inept people ever.
I was turned away after calling to see if I could come in and told to call for an appointment. When I called I was told they didnt do appointments by phone and needed a deposit.
I was willing to spend alot of money in the future for good work but if these troglodytes cant even put a pen to paper for an appointment they arent touching me.
i am aware of this situation and its been taken care of (as far as i can tell). sometimes we're very busy and someone got real lazy during one of those times. we do have a policy of only making appointments in person because we often need to see/discuss an idea before we know the timeframe needed for the work. additionally, we take a small deposit towards the work so we know we are preparing the work and setting aside the time for a reason. its been my experience that the no shows never left deposits. hopefully this clears things up a bit :)

I expected to get an unbelievable tattoo for the money I spent...thanks for nothing! Very rude artist (if thats what ya wanna call him) I got way overcharged and had to have another shop fix this mess I paid good money for....Listen, there are way better shops in Indy that will treat you like a person, not a dollar amount, I suggest you go else where, you'll get better work for a better price. BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! And quit saying that your the most experienced shop in Indy...cause your not
sorry to hear about your experience. perhaps you could be more specific as to the location you had been to so we can assess the situation a little better. what one artist may do at one location, unfortunately has an effect on us all. i have been tattooing for 18 years and i too(i read ALL of your reviews) have quite a resume including Kari Barbas Outer Limits in Long Beach, Ca. i can say that i know quite a few GREAT tattooists currently working for Artistic Skin Designs. artists are all different from one another, in skill and attitude. thank you for your input so that we may properly discern between "having a tough day" and "doing bad work". once again, sorry that you were not satisfied with your experience
