My name is Stephen A. Courchaine. I graduated from Michigan Technological University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in Urban Forestry. After graduating, I joined a national tree and lawn care company. For the past 30 years I have been solving tree, shrub, and lawn care problems right here in central Indiana. I am a certified arborist and State licensed pesticide applicator. I pride myself in accurate diagnoses. My education and many years experience have provided me with a keen knowledge of the insect, disease, and environmental problems prevalent in our area. The recommendations made were for the overall health of your plant material. The safety of your property and family were also ta ken into consideration. Corrective Pruning consists of the removal of dead diseased or weak limbs. Thinning and Shaping reduces the "sail effects" of the canopy during windy conditions and improves the overall appearance. Thinning also allows better air movement throughout the canopy reducing conditions favorable for leaf disease. Cabling provides additional support for weak limbs and is recommended as needed.
