0 stars would be too good of a rating for this company. Save yourself some stress and time and google "American Homes 4 Rent"; there you will find HUNDREDS of negative reviews for them. They are a scam. They will try to take all of your money. I recently had to file in small claims court against them, and went to court to force them to give me back my security deposit, that they withheld illegally. The entire process is a struggle, they will not answer phone calls, they will not respond to emails, they didn't even show up to court! These people are scum. They do not care about you and your family in their homes. All they care about is taking your hard earned money through fees and ridiculous claims when you move out...They charged $5 to replace a lightbulb, and $5 to replace a battery in a smoke detector.

DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE

If you are in the unfortunate circumstance of renting from these people, do your self a favor and document everything. Take pictures of everything, keep track of every conversation. It will greatly help you when you eventually take them to court.

Stay away.
