If you want to go home with NO...

If you want to go home with NO hair go see Rachel at Regis Hair Salon in the Independence Center.

Ironically, I had decided to choose a new place because my hair was left too long in front after my last few cuts at Sports Clips. With the high price for cuts at the Regis Salon I figured I'd likely get a more experienced stylist. Was I ever wrong. I sat down and first let Rachel know that I'd prefer to have my hair washed after my cut and that I'd washed it and had not put any product in it so it would be clean for her to cut. She said they washed hair first so I went along with it and didn't argue. Next, we sat down in the death chair (yes, death to my long flowing locks) and she asked how I wanted it cut. I said normally I go 1/2 or 1 on the sides and I leave the top longer and I push it up in the front. She didn't have a 1 or a 1/2 so asked if no guard would be OK on the sides. I should have gotten up out of the chair right then and there but I instead said yes, that would be ok on the sides. Rachel, the hair killer, then asked if I usually get the top done with scissors or the clippers. I said usually they use the scissors, but she said she didn't know if she could get it that short with the scissor and asked if using the clipper was OK. Again, should have been a red flag but I said whatever works best. Hell, I'm not stylist, how should I know the best way to cut hair so the back and sides blend in with the top. She then went to her stylist coworker to get a 1 guard because she didn't have the tools she needed. Next comes the part that will leave me scarred for life, or at least for the next 2 - 3 months. Rachel took the 1 guard, put it on the clippers, and starting at the front buzzed off a strip of my hair, my hair was a good 2 1/2 inches long in the front, my hair that I normally add product to and spike up in the front, that hair was gone. Thanks to Rachel the hair killer. At this point my girlfriend freaked out too. There were curse words, not at the employees, just a general holy $%#%$. There was no going back now. Rachel wasn't sorry, she said "he told me a 1 guard" I had told her to use whatever was needed to blend the back with the top and sides. I by no means told her to buzz my head. But the damage was done. She finished buzzing it off. It wasn't even a good buzz, my girlfriend had to trim off a lot of longs hairs that were left when we got home. At this point one of Rachel's coworkers was telling my girlfriend "I'll tell her to just charge $5" and "I'd be mortified" I got up to leave and Rachel went to the cash register, as if she was going to charge. I was still in shock at this point. I had no hair. I covered my head in my hat while my girlfriend said "why should he pay for this. We could do this at home for free" And with no "I'm sorry" or anything Rachel appeared to agree that we could get out of there for free and we left. I'm in for a lot of clowning when I show up for work Monday with my buzz cut. My girlfriend went back to get the manager's name and number for the Regis Salon in Independence MO but really no justice is sweeter than a poor review on every website possible. So if you'd like a free buzz cut go see Rachel at the Regis Salon in the Independence Center. If you'd like a decent cut don't set foot in there. I won't be able to hang out with Justin Bieber for awhile because I no longer have flowing locks.
